Juliet's POV:
_______________
My boss, Giana Sheltons, walked into my office. Or *ahem*, the office she's letting me stay in.
"Juliet... can you please get five plaid skirts before two? And also I need a coffee... STAT! And make sure the skirts aren't cheap, like the garbage you're wearing right now," Giana said all at once. She always says how I have no fashion. #TheDevilWearsPrada
"Y-yes Giana," I said grabbing papers on my desk and filing them away.
"And also my fiancé, Jacob, is coming by later today. Be polite, and get everything nice and ready." Giana demanded. I nodded and I could hear the *cluck* *cluck* of her heels as she went out down the hallway. I sighed and got my things ready to go get the coffee and skirts. Couldn't she had told me this earlier? It's twelve right now! I only have two hours. It's fine, I just need to leave, NOW. I put on my jacket and grabbed my purse-bag and keys. I gently closed my door to my office and went down the hallways. I almost tripped two people on my way out. I put the stuff into my cheap, small car and drove away to get the coffee. I stopped my car when I saw the coffee shop. I got out and pulled ten dollars out of my wallet. I needed to get a coffee for Giana, Jacob, and two other employees. I was next in line.
"How may I help you?" The guy whose name tag read, 'Calvin', smiled.
"I-I just want four regular coffees. Two with whip cream on top and one cherry on one whip cream... that'll be it!" I said putting my ten dollars out on the counter.
"Okay, forty-five cents change. It'll be out in just a sec. Can I get a name?" He asked writing it in a piece of paper and not on a cup.
"Juliet... or just put Julie." I said checking my watch and seeing it was already twelve-thirty! EEEK! "Calvin", smiled and slipped the piece of paper with my name on it into his pocket. What was he going to do with it? But I didn't think much of it.
I waited about ten-fifteen minutes and finally got the coffees! I almost left when Calvin followed me.
"I may've not mentioned but... my name is Calvin... you have a really pretty name, Julie." He said shaking my hand.
"Thank you... Calvin." I said and left the coffee shop. Calvin looked my age, twenty-one. I drove back to Shelton's Fashion Agency, and carried the coffee tray and my purse-bag in. I was kind of juggling all of it though, because it was too much to carry at once! I was almost at my office, when... *BAM*
I smacked right into this guy! All the coffees spilled on him! I was so embarrassed.
"I-I'm so s-sorry!" I said grabbing napkins and cleaning off some of the coffee of his, probably two-hundred-dollared, shirt! Wow. He had muscles and a pack though... no! He laughed though.
"It's fine. Really!" He said bending down and helping me with the coffee that spilled on the floor. Some people stopped and stared at us frightened. W-what was it? But then I knew. I knew, that this was Jacob. Giana came in demanding answers of what the ruckus was, "What happened?! And why is the coffee spilled all over the floor and on... Jacob! Juliet you're absolutely worthless for this job!"
I was shocked and well, hurt. I tried every single day to please her, but couldn't. And how can she be so rude in front of everyone? In front of her fiancé?
I guess Jacob must've noticed because he said, "Giana... I did it. I bumped into... I'm sorry, what was your name?"
Did he really just cover for me?
"It's Juliet... but you don't have to do this," I whispered.
"It's fine." He whispered back. But I could feel it wasn't.
"I-I... well Juliet should've seen where she was going!" Giana stuttered.
"It's fine, Giana. It's just coffee, not gonna kill anybody." Jacob said laughing. Soon I could hear giggles from my co-workers. Giana looked mad! I just threw away the old napkins and coffee cups.
"And you don't even bring back the skirts! It's almost two and I have a meeting with Fleur McFona!" Giana said pacing around.
"I-I'm sorry..." was all I would say. It was all I could say. Jacob helped me up as Giana hustled around to go to the meeting with Fleur McFona. All the employees or my co-workers went back into their offices working on stuff, but Jacob and me stayed in the hallways. For some reason when I was around him, stomach felt like I was going to hurl... but in a good way! I was just nervous around him a little. But he was nice to me.
"You said you're name was Juliet right?" Jacob asked me.
"Y-yes... but people call me Julie." I responded.
"Oh... I'll call you Jules," He said smiling at me. "Well I have to go, Jules, but I'll be here all week. I'll catch up with ya later!"
"O-okay..." I said watching him as he went out the big double doors. Soon my best friend here, at Sheltons Fashion Agency, Marie, came up to me. Hey! That rhymed, but it wasn't supposed to.
"I heard what happened with Giana! If I were you I would get her to slip on the coffee spill, and make her get her 'Prada fashion designer' purse dirty." Marie said laughing wickedly as I laughed. She really was something else. We've been best friends since I worked here one year ago. I have an other best friend, Amanda, but she lives in Chicago, while we live in New York City. Amanda and I keep in touch still, we've known each other since we were five years old in kindergarten.
"I know..." I said breaking the twenty second silence as we walked to my office. "Although Jacob... he's actually nice! How did he end up with her?"
"Ooooh! Does someone have a crush?" Marie said giggling. What? Pfft... no!
"Marie! I can't have a crush on my boss' fiancé! They're getting married. And I'm not a home-wrecker!" I said opening my door to my office.
"But... you can still have a crush on him. Like a... celebrity crush!" Marie said sitting down.
"Marie... no! I can't like my boss' fiancé and that's final!"
"Okay... mom."
I rolled my eyes and laughed and turned on my computer.
"Although... maybe we should change your wardrobe?" Marie suggested.
"Hehe, no thanks." I said hopeless and laughing.
"Please, Julie! Just a tweak here and there and... everywhere." She said but whispered the 'everywhere'. I rolled my eyes again.
"I just can't. I'm not into fashion."
"Then why do you work here? And I am!"
"I work here because I got a job here after I applied to help with photography, and I ended up like this. And I'm not into fashion... at all." I said searching up, 'Jacob Sheltons', but Marie saw it!
"You do have a crush on him!" She almost shouted.
"Shh! I do not. I'm just looking... at things."
"Mhmm." She said crossing her arms.
"Fine. I admit he's attractive. In all ways."
