This is an old project I did requiring only 26 sentences, but each new sentence had to be in alphabetical order from A all the way to Z. It also needed one sentence with 100 words. It is actually the very first bit of a longer novel I attempted that was to be called "All That is Red." I hope you enjoy this little tidbit.

“Amelia, Amelia! Bring to an end that nonsense daydreaming and get back to work,” it was the fourth time that day she had been yelled at just for daydreaming.

“Can you quit fooling you lazy pile of horse dung!? Depart to work before your Pa and the suitor comes,” mother said the last part more like a sigh rather than an order. Even so, all this information did was make young Amelia sigh and stand up. First Amelia wiped off the leaves from her buttocks when a carriage pulled up containing Mr. Cole and the next anonymous suitor that Amelia most likely would turn down.

Going to sit down, she thought about all the other suitors that she turned down. He, Mr. Brown, was a British sergeant who had done his best to win her heart.  Incidentally, the poor boy was none too bright though. Just one time, he accidentally picked one of her mother’s roses when thinking that it would be a good gift for Amelia and Mrs. Cole beat him with her yardstick for “defiling her precious roses!” Knowing what happened made Amelia laugh at the boy’s utter foolishness.

Later the foreign schoolmaster came to mind. Master Cheng was a Chinese man who was very out of place in the Colonies; he bought Amelia a kimono that her father liked because it was pure silk and very expensive for a schoolmaster. Natalie, her mother, did not like it because it was practically see through and it showed too much skin.

On another occasion Lewis, the brothel owner, also tried courting her. Pint sized Mr. Lewis had bad teeth and lots of money, not to mention women. Quite at first, Mr. Cole loved him for his money, but then Mr. Lewis touched Amelia inappropriately and Mr. Cole personally kicked him out the door. Remembering the real reason made Amelia smile at the memory of what Mr. Lewis did what he did. She had asked him to show her what happens in the brothels to the women that work there. Then he showed her right when Mr. Cole came into the room and was outraged. Unfortunately, there were many times when Amelia herself had sent the men packing. Virtually, her secret.

When there was Mister Red, Amelia met a man that was a handsome; charming; nice; caring; punctual; understanding; had a sculptured face, deep earth brown hair, which he wore in a deep midnight blue bow; rich emerald green eyes that sparkled like the gems they resembled; muscled body and chest; slightly tanned skin; animal loving; skilled at hunting with a gun and a bow; secretly a member of the Sons of Liberty; intelligent, despite the fact he could not count to one hundred even if his life depended on it; always completely sober; book loving; and a very strong individual. Xenophobic is what Amelia called her dad for the only thing that made her father angry was that he was a Patriot, one of those “nasty little rebs” that wanted to send King George packing from the Colonies while her father was a loyalist. Young Amelia did not care she was enthralled by his rough accent and rough coat, and brown hair tied back into a deep blue bow. Zealously, her father kicked him out the door, and now, Amelia sat waiting for her next friend or foe.
