At my school and many other schools across the United States, allow students to participate in a PTSA (parent-teacher-student association) arts contest. Applicants can submit choreographed dances, written music, art, stories, and film. The theme this past year was "What's your story?"
I'll say upfront that I didn't win. *sad face* but I still am very proud of this piece.
Okay so materials used was Photoshop CS6. It's all free-handed again.
So the story..
I went through a difficult time in my life which is represented by the ashy self. I was in a very rough time and I saw no way out of it. But if you recall the story of the Phoenix, born from the ashes is a new bird. So I drew coming from the ashes of my old self is a new me. Behind me is the Phoenix.
