"Well the event starts at 7 and it takes an hour to get to Eris so...6?" She suggested, smoothing out the skirt then walking over to her jewelry box.
"We have about 30 minutes. I guess I'll leave you to it then." Jake picked up his shirt and new clothes, walking out of her room and shutting the door behind him.
She nodded behind him, walking to her vanity and sitting at the stool, taking out the jewelry she was going to wear and her makeup. She applied it like normal, adding some darker lipstick for a change. She then put her white tear drop dangle earrings on and her pearl necklace and bracelet. Then she took off everything besides a pair of underwear, slipping into the dress but not being able to reach the zipper. "Jake!" She called out for him.
'Yeah?" He asked, pushing the door open while sliding his shirt on, already in his pants.
"Can you zip me up?" She turned her back to him, holding the front of the dress up.
He walked over, leaving his shirt hanging open for the moment. He swiftly pulled the zipper up on her dress then stepped back. "All good?" He asked, starting to do up the buttons on his shirt.
"Yes, but you're buttoning it one off." She giggled, grabbing her heels and sitting on her bed to put them on.
"Huh?" He stopped looking down at his buttons, seeing that they weren't in the right holes. "Oh damn. I haven't done this in a really long time." Shaking his head in annoyance he began to undo all of the buttons and made an extra effort to make sure he was putting them in the right hole this time.
"I can see that." She giggled again, walking back over to her vanity and sitting, tying her hair up in a high ponytail so it looked like a little wisp at the top of her head.
Jake finished buttoning his shirt up, leaving the top two buttons undone. He then started to tuck his shirt in his pants, not really caring about how well done it was. "You ready to go?" He asked running a hand through his messy hair, pushing it back from in front of his face.
She looked over at him and rolled her eyes, walking up to him and buttoning one of the buttons. "Don't show your cleavage like that, Jake." She joked with a little giggle.
"I should be saying that to you. I don't have any cleavage to show off." He said smirking, undoing the button again and adjusting the collar to fit better.
She rolled her eyes, sighing and giving up on his shirt. "Well I'm a girl. How else do you think we make business deals these days?"
"With good tactics and force." He said seriously, walking over to the door and holding it open for her.
"What a gentleman." She put a hand over her heart, acting all flattered and walking out of the room after she flicked off the light switch.
Jake followed silently behind her, slipping a hand into his pocket and going through a mental checklist of things he needed with him.
"Are we going to dock and take the side port or are we lugging this thing all of the way to Eris?" She asked him, grabbing a navigational chart for him that she had left in the kitchen earlier.
"We are taking a side port. I'm not changing the set path I put in before because it's our safest route at the moment and I don't want to ruin that." He said, looking over her shoulder at the chart she was holding.
"Aye, aye Captain." She mock saluted him with a smile, handing him the chart.
Jake rolled his eyes and took the sheet from her, walking over to the door that held the ship's side port. "I'll tell you where to go if you drive." He said opening the door, and once again holding it for her.
