Addie walked over to the control room, putting a hand on the back of his chair as she watched the footage. "...Dr. Lambert McCarthy." She suddenly said, still eyeing the footage.
"The idiots giving me this information are still unaware that NASA and MOSQUITO are behind this. Also that their main networks are hacked by myself." He thought aloud, not hearing what Addie said. "Maybe it's for the best though. Have these people live under ignorance and fear, that way it's easier to control them."
"That man, you see him in the top right corner...?" Addie reached out and pointed to a man in the corner of the screen, a gun in a holster and a lab coat under it.
"Yeah, he is usually there ordering people around. I assume he is the temporary boss of the group for this mission." He said, zooming the camera in on his face. "I was able to get a picture of his ID card he uses to get into certain rooms in their hideout. I can see almost everything they do in here, but I have no clue where it is since it doesn't have a normal network, which is expected since they are trying not to be caught."
"His name is Lambert McCarthy. He's the head of MOSQUITO. I knew him from my mom." She tells Jake, scanning over what was happening on the screen.
"So I assumed right." Jake said in a dull tone. He kept the camera footage up as he pulled up another tab with the picture of the security ID on it and a small corner taken up with bold black coding, passing by extremely fast.
She watched the movements on the screen, her gaze not faltering for a second. She looked around for familiar faces, anything to possibly help Jake.
He started typing in the small corner, going as fast as the codes passing by on the screen. His eyes remained steady as his fingers moved feverishly across the keyboard, not messing up once. As he typed, other things popped up on the surrounding monitors all showing different letter patterns speeding by.
She got a bit dizzy from all of the sudden letters and numbers, adjusting her eyes to focus on the screen better.
"There isn't anything I can do for now except watch. They don't have a normal network so their location isn't known, but I was able to get into their fire wall and break it giving access to any computers being used. Their connection was actually hidden pretty well given the small time frame they had to make any security at all." Jake said, his fingers still moving rapidly causing even more coding screens to pop up, now covering the security camera footage.
"Hmm..." She hummed to herself, going to walk out of the room. "I'm gonna be in my office. Need anything?"
"Can you bring me a cup of coffee?" He abruptly stopped typing, all of the codes freezing as soon as he stopped. His eyes skimmed over the screen in front of him intensely and slightly concerned, as if his gaze would burn through the computer.
"Sure." She nodded, walking to the kitchen and grabbing a mug, filling it up with the rest of the pot. She walked back into the room, setting it next to him and walking back out. "Best of luck, Lord Jake~!" She cheered, padding down the hall to her office.
"Mmhm." Jake hummed in response, beginning to type again, this time the coding screens leaving the monitors after each line he typed.
Addie walked in the room, taking out her laptop and pulling up a design for a dress, walking over to her bedroom and grabbing some fabric and her sewing machine.
Sighing loudly, Jake finished typing, everything closed off except for the security camera at MOSQUITO Mars headquarters. Leaning back in his chair, he brought the warm cup to his lips taking a big swig before setting it against his leg, staring uninterested at the computer.
