Just after my birthday, she was woken by reality.
Things change.
All the time.
You can't alter it.
My mom and dad went out. Some random club. But it wasn't that, that changed my life it was what happened afterward. I looked out of the window and prayed they didn't see me but I also wanted them to. They were arguing. Then they went to their room. I didn't know what to think until everything went left. But just before my father left he promised that wouldn't be it.
He PROMISED
Right after that everything changed.I saw him maybe twice. But that wasn't the only thing. People acted differently toward me. I gave up on making friends. In kindergarten. I was just the smart, shy kid. That person used for help on their work. That's how I remained. Until I finally tried to step out of my shell.
I wore my hair natural in 5th grade! I got called "Alex the lion." I went to the restroom. I went into the stall and all I could do was cry. The people who were my "friends," watched, they didn't stand up for me! I was astonished, appalled, I just couldn't believe it. It only got worse once hormones were raging, AKA middle school.
