Chapter 17: The Letter

James POV

"As the lead of the band we just take the opportunity to have fun." Sagot ko.

"Ah..so James, totoo ba yung issues about dating Ms. Sobrerano? Particularly your manager."

Natawa ako sa tanong ng isang press.

"Maybe we are just close because she's my manager, our manager." Paliwanag ko.

"Yes, he's waiting the girl in his dreams." Singit ni Alex at natawa sila.

"He had a point." Seryoso kong sabi.

"Hey! I was just joking don't take it seriously, dre."

"I'm just kidding too." At umalis na ako.

"Kuya!." At bigla niya akong pinalo sa braso.

"Did I do something wrong?." Tanong ko habang kinukuha yung gamit ko.

"Why did you make ate Liza feel embarrassed in front of the press? Nakakainis ka na talaga kuya!."

Natawa na lang ako sa sinabi niya.

"What do you want me to do? Lie?." Natatawa kong sabi.

"But..I was expecting kasi na your girlfriend is ate Liza." Lungkot niyang sabi.

Dahil dun ginulo ko yung buhok niya.

"Stop it kuya."

"Let's go home, I know you are tired." At sumunod naman siya.

"James!."

Napahinto kami. Si Liza.

"Pwede ba tayong mag-usap?." Tanong niya.

"Yeah,but I'm gonna drive--"

"You know kuya I'm okay naman eh and besides..(biglang hinila si Marlo) sabay na lang ako sa kanya."

"Marlo, take care of my sister."

"Naman walang problema." Sabi ni Marlo.

"Take care." At hinalikan ko si Janella sa pisngi.

"See yah kuya!."

"Anong pag-uusapan natin?." Tanong ko.

"Pwede doon sa office ko?."

Nagtungo kami sa office niya at umupo. Kinuha ko yung piece ko at tinignan kung tapos na.

"James, she's back."

Para akong nanigas sa narinig ko. She's back? Kath is back? When?!

"Is she with Quen?." Tanong ko a bigla siya napakunot noo.

"What?." Taka niyang sabi.

"Kath, is she with Quen?." Ulit kong sabi.

"No, I mean Riva is back."

Akala ko talaga bumalik na siya. .

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, James." 

"No, it's okay. What's with Riva?." Napatango na lang siya.

Akala ko talaga si Kath.. Nakakapanghinayang talaga. If she's back I'll never ever let go of her and I make sure she will hold me tight.

"I just want to let you know that Riva is going to be your. . .manager."

Napakunot noo ako sa sinabi niya. Manager?.

"What? Paano nangyari yun?." Taka kong sabi.

"The CEO of our company is Riva's dad, and he just talked to me earlier that I'll be managing other band at. . ililipat niya si Riva dito."
