It was a Saturday, we were supposed to go out, go for a stroll or where ever our feet takes us. I was picking her up, she just opened the door when we could hear a sudden fall of heavy rain outside. The kind that even if you had umbrellas it would be futile, so we just decided to stay inside her apartment.

It looked like the rain wasn't going to stop anytime soon, to watch one of her favourite movie, Serendipity. We were seated next to each other and having popcorn, when the sound of thunder was heard then a flash of light was seen. She's a bit frightened by the thunder and lightning so she schooches next to me and I wrap my arms around her. We continue watching quietly. After a few minutes, she snuggles in and places her head on my chest. I wasn't sure how long time passed when I realised she fell asleep watching the movie.

I was going to stop the movie, when one of the characters, Jonathan, was lying in the grass with Dean outside of Sara's house, said: "Maybe we're lying here because we don't want to be standing somewhere else"

I suddenly looked at the precious cargo I had lying in my arms. I wouldn't trade anything in this world, for this moment. My god, she was beautiful. She's just beautiful. You know how it was cliche to say that one has to be beautiful inside and out, she just was. She has a pure heart. I'm so lucky to have found her.

I give her a kiss on her forehead and I smile. God, oh God. It just dawned on me. I snicker. What took me so long to realise this?

And I kiss her forehead again, Tomorrow, I am off to get that small box. I can't wait to start waking up next to you, my love, my dearest Menggay.
