~*Chapter Two*~
My stomach gurgled. Gurgled? Hehe funny word. Sound...Word...? If I knew how to read I'd read the dictionary later- Wait. If I knew words then couldn't I read? My logic makes no sense in my own mind.
I had uttered the last sentence out loud (sort of...) another patient on the bed across from me looked dumbfounded.
Where we really patients though?
28: Hello.
My hands shot to my head and I immediately, I grasped my temples as I felt a voice in my head
57: How...
28: We are all connected fifty-seven, I'm twenty-eight.
All I did was sit and stare at twenty-eight. It looked like they had tested something on her too because half her hair had turned a strange red-- not very strange because her hair was already a brownish-red-- but I mean bright red, like neon red.
13: Keep your conversations quiet! I'm trying to sleep!
57: Who are you?!
13: I'm thirteen, now SHUT UP!
28: Lalalalalalala. Hehe!
I sat up, my back popped and 28 made a gagging face. I hadn't sat up in ages. It felt strange considering my hands were tinted blue.
My. Hands. Were. Blue. I felt blood rush to my cheeks and as fast as I could, I crawled under my blankets.
I peaked out after what felt like a few hours later and 28 gave me a look like 'Yeah I feel bad for you too' But I couldn't help but wonder what had happened to 13. They wern't in this room, and I'd guess this was urgent care, so they must've been fine.
The thought kept nagging me all night. I barely got a wink of sleep when I was hauled off to my own room. Even when I had just met 28 and 13, I felt we where connected. I threw my head back and laughed.
Now why was there a dictionary on my desk?
