Chapter 24 What a Day (Part I)

"Care to explain what is going on before I change my mind and have to do something?" She asked in a stern tone.

"Whoa easy." he held is paws up. "nothing bad is going to happen. I explain everything on the way. Cross my heart and hope to die." the rabbit nod and they were now at the end of the wall too. The Fox looked to his right and saw the heavy panting weasel leaning against the wall. He growls and snarled short. The weasel looked terrified at the Fox and started running away.

"As promised I tell you what is going on. I was friends with Becky and Jeremy since kindergarten but when we entered the middle school, he starts to hang out more and more with that weasel, his name is Clyde by the way. I don't want stereotype someone but that weasel is really up for no good. He put us up to do some really stupid stuff. At some point, I had enough and confessed Jeremy. He didn't listen to me and since then he stopped hanging out with me. Becky and I are still friends but we don't hang out very often because she has it bad for Jeremy. You can imagine how she feels when he starts his hate tirade about interspecies relationships. His family raised him traditionally. He believed that it's unnatural to look for someone outside his species. So I and the football team decided to try to open his eyes. Becky doesn't know anything about it but she does exactly what we wanted her to do. So predictable." he chuckled slightly.

"So what is going to happen now?" Judy asked.

"Well simple. Jeremy is not a good runner but Becky is. I know weird right?" He elbowed her slightly.

Are all foxes joke cracker, she rolled her eyes.

"We just have to wait until he can't run anymore or he falls, and then the fun part begins. If my calculation is correct, she will protect him from the crowd and hopefully he will realize what Becky feels for him."

"Mhh. Looks like you have made a good Plan. Hopefully, it's going to happen just as planned." she said.

"Amen do that but we should put up some speed or we are going to lose them." with that booth starts running. On the way, they meet some mammals from the team. They stopped and waited for Ethan and then they start running with him to guide him where the next one were waiting. He has thought of everything. At the end, they were 12 mammals, including the bunny and the fox, until they arrived in an alley. The rest of the team surrounded the panda and the wolf. Judy could see that the wolf was laying on the ground heavy breathing. The panda stands in front of him and snarled, growled and hissed at the crowd.

"If someone touches him I promise I use his head as a bowling ball." she hissed when Judy and the other entered the alley.

"Becky, what are you doing?" Jeremy asked.

"What do you mean. You didn't destroy the ball and if they going to hurt you I couldn't forgive myself," she said that without taking her eyes from the crowd.

"See just as planned," Ethan whispered to Judy.

"Wait out. He didn't seem do realize why she is doing that," she whispered back with a grin.

"Becky stop! It makes no sense that we booth got beaten up just go away and save yourself." he slowly got up.

"I will never leave your side. You should know that until now," she looked quick to him and back to the crowd in front of her.

"Why? Why are you so stubborn just go and save yourself. I am not worth it," he was standing now and walked past her to the crowd. Becky gripped his wrist and shove the smaller wolf behind her.

"You are not going anywhere. I am not going to let these jerks beat you up," she growled at the crowd.

"Becky, why are you doing this? Just let m-" he was got off by the panda.
