Chapter 24 What a Day (Part I)

Judy strolled happily down the streets. About 30 minutes later she could see a school about 50 meters in front of her. The school building was surround by a high brick wall. The rabbit assumed that this must be Nicks old school. Suddenly her smartphone vibrated. She pulled out her phone. She saw it was a text from nick.

[7:17 Where is my favorite bunny? I feel lonely :P] she chuckled a little and respond

[7:18 Your favorite bunny is going to buy something... and before you ask what it is its a surprise. So you have to wait until I am back.]

[7:18 I can't wait to see it. Another topic, what have you planned for the rest of the day when you are coming back?] She rolled her eyes and was about to reply but she bumped into someone.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I-" she was cut off by a wolf in a school uniform. The Wolf stands in front of her with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Behind the wolf there standing a panda bear and a weasel.

"Watch out where are you going bunny...hey isn't that the bunny officer who is mates with that fox," he asked the panda and the weasel. The panda nodded shyly and the weasel just grinned. "Say Rabbit how do you feel for betraying your own kind with that fox. Is a rabbit not good enough for you or is it that the fox forced you to be mates with him?" He said in a condescending tone. Judy was about to respond but she was interrupted by a loud whistle. All four looked up the brick wall of the school building. On the brick wall were sitting a fox. He doesn't wear a school uniform. Instead, he was wearing a football shirt from the school team. He was throwing a football in the air and caught it several times.

"What do you want Ethan? Can't you see I am talking to someone?" The Wolf asked.

"Oh, I can see that. I just wanted to ask you something. Do you really think it is a good idea to offend a police officer?" Ethan slid down the wall and was leaning against it, still throwing and catching the football.

"I didn't offend her I just asked her some simple questions. It just doesn't make sense for me why a rabbit would willingly be mates with a fox." he pronounced the word fox like it was something discussing.

"Well you never was one of the smartest, to begin with, but maybe I can help you with that." the wolf began to growl but stopped immediately because the fox buried his claws from both paws in the football. With a slight 'shhh' the ball loses his air. The fox throws the now flat ball to the wolf who caught it with his right paw.

"What the-" the wolf was again interrupted from a whistle from the Fox. A second later were the whole football team from the school running outside the entrance from the wall. All looked at the wolf and then to the ball in his paws. Judy spotted at least 60 mammals. Most of them were wildebeest. She spotted six water buffalo, two cheetahs, one rabbit, four hippos and even two elephants.

"Hey, guys look who destroyed your ball." Ethan pointed to the wolf.

"Get'em!" a water buffalo yelled and the whole team began to run towards the wolf. Judy faced now completely the crowd and holds her arms out to block the way if the mammals but she was pulled to the wall from Ethan.

"Don't worry it's just a little prank and maybe he will understand why you are mates with a fox," he whispered and afterward winked at her. She raised an eyebrow but nodded afterward. The wolf looked shocked that the officer wasn't going to stop the other mammals. The panda gripped his left paw and the three start running away from the crowd. They were at the end of the wall and the weasel turned right while the panda was still dragging the wolf. The two continued straight forwards. The fox began to stroll into the direction where the crowd was running.

"Are you coming or not? Believe me, you don't want to miss what is going to happen." he had a big grin on his muzzle. The rabbit shrugged her shoulders and began to walk with the fox.
