Chapter 2. Cat's Friend

Luke's POV

Joey left and Ingrid said she wanted to talk to me.

End POV 

Luke and Ingrid talked for a little bit.

"We'll do it for Joey." Ingrid said.

"What if it gets worse?" Luke asked.

"We can only hope,this is serious Luke.Hopefully it will stop." Ingrid says.

Luke nods his head,and they hug.

CAT: 

Joey and Cat are going back home from Luke's house.

"What do you want to do now?" Cat asked.

"Let's get some lunch!" Joey said.

"Uhm,I gotta feed Beta." Cat says.

"Okay,we can go to Whole Foods and just make it at home." Joey said.

Joey drives to Whole Foods and buys some chicken and vegetables.Joey pays for it and they go home.

Cat unlocks the house and goes inside.Cat goes to the kitchen and grabs the dog food.She goes over to Beta's food bowl and puts food in Beta's bowl.

After a few minutes of playing with Beta,Cat looks up and Joey's eating.

"You gonna eat?" Joey asked.

"No thanks,uhm,me and Ingrid ate some things." Cat said.

"Oh,okay." Joey said.

After Joey finished eating,the two of them decided to watch a movie.Cat sat on the couch and leaned against Joey.

"What movie?" Cat asked.

"Let's watch a comedy." Joey said.

"Okay." Cat agreed.

This is my time to rest. 

Joey started the movie and Cat lay on top of him.Joey spread a blanket over the two of them.

About half the movie in,Joey looked down and Cat was asleep.It was 10:49. I'll go to sleep to. Joey thought. Joey turned off the movie and fell asleep on the couch with Cat leaning against him.

When Joey woke up Cat wasn't there.

"Cat.." Joey mumbled.

Joey rubbed his eyes and looked around.Cat wasn't in the living room,or the kitchen.Joey checked the backyard,and the whole bottom floor.

"CAT!?!?" Joey shouted.

Joey ran up the stairs and checked everywhere upstairs.

Joey started to get super worried.Joey went into Sawyers room. Why would she be in here? Joey thought.

Joey opened Sawyers door and saw Sawyer sleeping.

"What's up Joey?" Sawyer asked rubbing his eyes.

"Uhm,nothing.Just looking for something,sorry for waking you." Joey said.

Cat wasn't anywhere in the house,Joey ran downstairs and saw Cat on the couch.But she looked weird...Joey rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things,and he saw Cat looking more normal.

"Cat where were you?" Joey asked.

"Oh,I was just...outside getting some fresh air." Cat said.

"Oh,okay.Want some breakfast?" Joey asked.

"No,I'm good." Cat said.

"Are you sure?" Joey asked.

"Yes,I'm sure." Cat said.

Joey went to the kitchen and made eggs and a smoothie.

"I'm gonna meet up with a friend today." Cat said.

"Okay,how long will you be gone?" Joey asked.

"A while,are you doing anything today?" Cat asked.

"Shooting some vidz,wish you didn't quit YouTube we could do some collabs.I'll be back later tonight though." Joey said.

"Okay,I'll be back tonight too." Cat said.

Joey kissed Cat goodbye and Cat left to meet with her friend

Cat met with her friend John.

"How's Joey?" John asked.

"He's happy." Cat said.

"He's going to find out one day." John said.

"How would you know?" Cat asked.

"Who's smarter,me or you?" John asked.

"Technically me,just not at this stuff." Cat said.

"Well he's going to find out,if not.You have to tell him." John said.

"Why?" Cat asked.

"You never know when you won't be able to see him any more." John said.

"Well,it's not like I know myself." Cat said.

"Maybe you'll finish it unexpectedly." John said.

"I'm only going to stay with Joey,and if all goes planned,Joey will never know." Cat said.

"What about...y'know..."Code B" John asked.

"That'll only happen at night,when Joey's sleeping.I have good excuses,he'll never know." Cat said.

"Are you sure? What if he takes you out to dinner?" John asked.

"I can handle this." Cat said.

"Should we go see what he's up to?" John asked.

"Sure!" Cat said.
