A young boy slowly drifts into the endless abyss of sleep, barely recognizing the now familiar pang of hunger deep in his stomach.
He wakes to an incandescent whiteness, which soon fades into a long tube of light.
Sweet, creamy smells fill his head and surround him as he stands up in the room; small, empty tables scattered across the floor.
In front of him, a man in a white cap and a spotless apron grins brightly from behind a counter.
"Is this heaven?" The boy's small voice shakes as he takes a step toward the display.
The man lets out a bellowing laugh.
"No, this is an ice cream parlor." He scoops out two perfect spheres of chocolate ice cream and gives it to the boy.
"Don't you know the difference?"
