The pitter patter of raindrops hitting the roof calmed her soul. It was minus twenty-four hours before she needed to leave her home in exchange for the cold dense area named La Push. She laid on the hardwood floor, letting the coolness of the air coming in from her window push any anxiety that came with her fear of the unknown. Wisco didn't know who these people were nor their backgrounds. She investigated for years and when she finally found them, she called her birth parents and now here she was, waiting for the day to arrive but all emotions and anxiety just poured right in...
With a sigh, she sat up and let her long ebony black hair cascade down. She wasn't what you would define sexy by people's standards now but she had her own beauty. Her heart shaped face, almond brown eyes and plump lips made her look exotic as well as her light olive skin bringing her looks well together. She was tall, not too skinny but well built. If she stood next to her siblings who had curly blonde hair and soft baby blue eyes, you would know that she was the odd one out and she knew that since they were young. It wasn't until her seventeenth birthday when she had the courage to ask her parents. Wisco expected them to be angry but they sat her down and explained her real identity. And that's when she started looking.
A soft gentle knock wakened Wisco from her quiet time. The door opened slowly revealing wild red curls poking through the creak of the door.
"Who is it?" she asked, a smile starting to escape her lips.
The little toddler waddled in with her thumb in her mouth as she dragged her stuffed bunny in. Taking a seat across her auntie, she placed her bunny in front of Wisco.
"For me?" she asked. The little girl nodded. "Why JB? It's yours! He's yours."
Taking her thumb out of her mouth, she shook her little head. "Bunny is to pwotect you from monsters!"
A laugh escaped Wisco's as she gathered her little niece into her arms, "Thank you but I think Bunny should stay with you. Auntie will be back soon and then she will bring you another bunny! How does that sound?"
Her loose curls bounced up and down as she nodded, "What colour though?" she asked.
"Well...you tell mumma what colour you want and I'll get her to message me when you decide. How about that?---"
"What do you mean you're going to message me?" Her oldest sister leant against the door, listening to their conversation. "You spoil her!"
The oldest sibling made her way towards the two and sat down, "Wisco?"
"Yeah?"
"Promise me something?" the older sibling asked.
Nodding, Wisco smiled "Anything..."
"Promise me that you'll always remember you have a family here? I know you want to meet them and see for yourself but I want you to know that you will always be my little sister. I want you to promise me to never turn your back against us?"
Wisco grabbed her sister's hand and intertwined it with hers, "What made you think that?"
"Nothing" she replied, "I just want you to promise me that. And don't fall in love. I prefer an Australian for you"
Wisco's mouth agaped as she fake punched her sister on the arm, "You are crazy!"
"I'm your sister. I have to be. But Wis, be careful as well. We love you here. We just want you back home here in one piece..."
