A/N: The image above is a drawing that my lovely & talented friend AuroraTheReader drew of Daisy. She's an incredibly talented artist & writer & I love her dearly. Thank you, cutie, for making Daisy a reality for me 💚

It was almost impossible to distinguish the stems & leaves of the meadow from the river of green hair that flowed & weaved into the flowers & dandelions sprouting from the ground below her. The grass & foilage was as bright as her naturally colored strands & it brought a wide grin onto her face. She was only sixteen, but she was already as beautiful & mature as a woman far ahead of her time. Her father would always joke that her maturity was genetic, a product of her mutation, since she could create & grow any plant she desired from the palm of her hand. She was her father's most precious flower, so she matured as quickly as the flowers she created.
When she found this meadow several years ago, it was as dead & barren as a desert & she made it her duty to fix it up & bring it back to life. It took her a long time, but it was excellent practice for her & her powers. She got a much better hold of her powers & a beautiful garden, so she was more than happy with the outcome of her hard work.
Although her bright hair matched the scenery, her clothes most definitely did not. Despite her bright & bubbly personality & mutation, Daisy always wore all black clothes & the occasional white shirt or colored cardigan. Since it takes every color in the color wheel to create the most perfect shade of charcoal black, her logic was that black was the most colorful of all the colors because you can't get any more colorful than having them all.
She smiled to herself as she brought a flower to her nostrils, giving the petals a gentle sniff. Her smile only got wider as the lovely scent of the flower flew up her nasal passages & encompassed all her senses. There was nothing she loved more than being surrounded by her "flower children", as she loved to so jokingly call. It brought her peace & happiness that not even her beloved father could. Ironically, there would be another male figure who would pop into Daisy's life & bring her happiness, too, maybe even moreso than her flowers.
She let her hand that held the flower softly land onto the ground beneath her, flexing her fingers & outstretching her palm so the roots could rise from the ground & reclaim their flower. Once the flower was back in its home, she gave the ground a soft pat before letting her hand rest on her stomach.
Peter had been playing with his younger sister in the park nearby, having a picnic with her & her mother. He would have entirely missed the beautiful meadow & girl laying idly in it, had Lorna not suggested to play hide-&-seek. Peter would come to thank her one day for that, although he didn't know it just yet.
Lorna was just as sneaky & cunning as her brother, so she hid under the slide in the sandbox. Peter; however, had thought she had wandered off farther & he ended up reaching the gorgeous garden by mistake.
If it hadn't been for her pitch black attire, he might not have noticed her at all, but because she dressed so darkly, she stuck out like a sore thumb in the lively garden. Thinking she might have been injured, he sped over to her, looking down at her for a moment with a raised eyebrow, "Are you okay?"
Daisy looked up at the intruder who was blocking her sunlight, nearly laughing at his concerned expression & flashed him an amused smile, "I'm doing absolutely wonderfully at the moment, actually," she gently turned over so that she was laying on her stomach, leaning her face into her palm that she balanced upwards on her elbow, "What brings you here, to my sanctuary?"
