I ran down the stairs, hearing the door bell ring. I bet it's the new neighbors next door. Unfortunately mum beat me to it. I hide behind her while she opened the door, revealing a girl holding a tray of cookies. She was effortlessly beautiful. Her long blonde hair waved with small bits of hair dropping onto her face. She blew it, hoping it would but no luck. I laughed and she shot me a death glare. I placed my hands up in defense then ending up laughing with her again. Her deep emerald green view took over my soul and wrapped itself around my heart. Her eyes were locked with mine. And for that split second of pure bliss and perfected joy, our eyes met and what I perceived in my mind as a mutter all attraction became stronger within each and every passing moment we shared our gaze. She blushed and I pulled her inside.
"Mommy, can this pretty girl stay? We can play on the swing and stuff... " I said looking up towards my mommy. She nodded in reply
"Ok but first I need to tell MY mommy that I'm staying!" The angle spoke ( my new neighbor ) she ran out after handing me the try of cookies.
I pleased us myself with a bunch of cookies. I shaved them in my mouth. Oops, I forgot the new neighbor made me promise I won't eat the cookies. Oh well
She returned staring at me like she was placing holes into my body. I looked at her in complete innocent saying I couldn't help it, I was hungry. She tilts her head to the side and laughs. I pull her inside and lead her to the back yard. We Jim on the trampoline and have fun on the swings. We climb my tree house and watch the rain.
"Hey what's your name?" She asked, breaking the silence.
"My name is Jake. What about you?" I say with a smile
"I'm Janella, one more important question..." She replies
"Can we best best friends?" She asks
I nod in reply with a big smile across my face. I pull her in for a side hug while we watch the sunset and the rain
