Little Dixons

This is my second story. If you have time or haven't already, check out my other story 'this is no time for love'. Part of this is a pre apocalypse story and the rest is during the apocalypse. I'm sorry if its bad.

Daryl's POV

The most magical day of my life was when my first daughter was born. "Wha' we gonna call 'er?" I asked Diamond, my girlfriend, "why not name her after her nan, my mom. Little Sapphire" she smiled. "Can I hold her?" I asked Dia, she nodded and handed me the tiny baby "dya wan' sumthin' ta eat?" I asked, walking into the kitchen "I've just given birth" she said to me like I was stupid "yea' an'?" I asked her. She groaned "I'm friggin starving" she shouted back "dya wan' me ta make ya sumthin' like beans on toas'?" I asked, peaking my head thru the door "yes please" she said and I handed her Saffie and went back in the kitchen.

20 minutes later I gave Dia the food "what took you so long?" She asked, laughing "Imma man" was all I said before eating my own food.

"Daryl?" Dia woke me up the next morning "hey Dare. Wake up" she shook me "hey I'm up, I'm up" I said holding my hands up in defence "good" Dia said "we need to buy Saffie clothes, she has none. Right now shes wearing a blanket" "ok we'll go when I'm dressed" I smiled an went to get breakfast "we also need a crib, food, diapers and pacifiers" Dia said from the bedroom "ok. Merles gotta crib so we'll go to 'is 'ouse" "why has Merle got a crib?" "Oh it was mine, when I was a lil un" I smiled. I made myself pancakes and went to sit on the couch "when your finished were going ok" Dia said, I nodded "I'll go wait in the truck" she turned around and went out the front door. I finished my pancakes then joined her.

"Its about time" Dia said sarcastically when I got in the drivers side of the truck. Off to Merles we go.

"Well 'ello sugartits" Merle said as we went thru the front door "hello Merle" Dia said rolling her eyes "were 'ere fer the crib" I said "ahhh yes. The one ya slept in when ya was a lil 'un" Merle replied "here" he pulled the big flat box out of the storage cupboard "'ello lil ass kicker" Merle said in a baby voice to Saffie "she got a name?" Merle asked "yeah, Saffie, shor' fer Sapphire" I replied "ya should come over later. Give 'er a proper 'ello" Merle nodded "see ya"

We got back in the car and drove to the baby store "clothes, formula, pacifiers, toys and bottles the main things we need" Dia said, I nodded and grabbed a trolly, we put Saffie in the front and walked around the shop.

This is the first Chapter, they will get longer don't worry. Also I have another story which is a little bit more important than this so I might not update everyday like I do on the other one.
