Prologue

*First Day of Kindergerten* 

I was NOT having a good day, my juice box exploded in the car on my shirt soaking it, and my hair was an absolute mess. I just hoped nobody from my Pre-K class went to this new school, everyone there hated me and honestly, I didn't know why. I brought them all cookies on my birthday! I gave them all little chocolates on valentines day. I tried to play with everybody at recess, they just didn't like me. My mom told me that school ended after pre-k but the older kids on campus told me differently. This new school would be that solution to my "no-friend" problem. 

As soon as my juice box started leaking I grabbed my purple bag and dug out my extra shirt. Once we got there I crouched down in the car and changed so nobody would see me. As soon as I was done I slung my bag over my shoulder and skipped towards the front doors with my mom. 

When we walked in I saw huge kids, my mom told me they were probably older kids since this school went until the end of sixth grade. My mom led me to my classroom and I was overwhelmed with the colors. Blues, pinks, purples, oranges, reds, yellows, greens, and any color you could imagine was on the wall in some sort or poster or decoration. From the green lamp to the red chairs to the blue carpet, I was amazed. My mom helped my find my cubby and I shoved by bag inside. I gave her a quick kiss and went to try to find a new friend. 

I glanced over the room to get a feel for what I would expierience in the next year. I saw a girl, wearing a black shirt, nope! not for me! I HATE black! I saw a boy sitting in the corner drawing with a purple crayon, now this is something I can work with, "Hi!" I said with my upfront additude, "I'm Mallory Anne, but you can call me MA!" 

"I'm Grayson, nice to mee you," he said quietly. 

"Do you want to be my new best friend forever?" I said to break the silence.

"S-sure!" he said with a stutter. I like this kid.
