Getting There

Going to LA was going to be tough. I'm really going to miss my family, but it's all gonna work out in the end. I'm going out there to help my YouTube career. My channel is (channel name). It's a small, but fun channel. I've been doing it for about 3 months now, and I love it. Another thing I am excited for was that I was going to live near Markiplier, one of my YouTube inspirations. I was packing my bags when my phone rang. It was my mother.

"Honey?" Her voice was sweet, but had a sense of anxiety.

"Yes, Mom?"

"Are you sure you're going to be alright? California is a long ways away."

"I'll be fine, Mom. I promise I'll call every night."

"Alright, honey... I'm sorry for worrying so much... I just don't want you to end up being unhappy and regretting it all."

"I could never regret what I'm doing. I love to make people smile."

"You were always good at that, weren't you, Y/N?" She was right. Everywhere I went I made someone smile.

"Alright, Mom. I have to finish packing. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, dear. Be safe, and have fun. I love you."

"Love you too, Mom." I hung up. Dad was normally at work, so I didn't ask to talk to him.

TIME SKIP BECAUSE IDK

The airport is crowded. It's really early in the morning, too. I have my 3 suitcases, my phone, my laptop, and my special picture of my family. The rest of my recording equipment is going to be shipped in the next few days. Another reason to move to LA was because I am going to go to my first convention there. It's in like 2 weekends, actually. I'm really hoping Mark will be there so I can introduce myself. We'll just have to wait and see.

Plane rides are always awkward, especially by yourself. The ride was going to be a few hours, so I had some time to Tweet and listen to music.

Tweet: On my way to LA :P Hope to meet some viewers when I land!

Figured I'd Tweet about it just so people know that I'm on my way. Now to text my mom.

You: Plane just lifted off

Mom: Alright, sweetie. Be safe!

You: I will, mom!

I always loved how much she cared about everyone. Sometimes it could get a little annoying, but I always had a feeling of comfort around her.

ANOTHER TIME SKIP BECAUSE PLANE RIDES ARE BORING

As soon as I landed I called a taxi to my new apartment. It was the perfect size, not too big, not too small. My bags arrived about and hour later. I Tweeted out that I had landed and was going to be walking around if anyone wanted to say hi.

The town is beautiful. Warm, bright, and happy. I've been walking along this sidewalk for about 15 minutes. From across the sidewalk I saw something. Something like, red hair? Mark. It is him. But, he's with someone else. It isn't Tyler (IIIIIIII'M TYLER XD), but someone with blue hair. He looks like if Jack dyed his hair blue. Honestly, he's kinda cute. I could probably just run across the sidewalk and say hi.

"Excuse me, Mark?" I said shyly.

"Hey there! How are you?"

"I'm great! My name is Y/N. Huge fan, and also a small YouTuber."

"Cool! I've never seen you around, are you new?"

"Just moved in today, actually."

"Oh, well, welcome! We can show you around, if you would like." Did he just ask me if I wanted to hang out and walk around?

"Oh, uh... Sure, thank you!" HOLY SHIT.

"Alright let's go then. By the way, this is Ethan, if you were interested." Interested?

"Oh, hi Ethan..." I didn't realize I was staring at him until Mark introduced me.

"Hey, what's up?" He asked. He seems cool. Don't mess this up, Y/N.

"Nothing much. Thanks for offering to show me around, Mark." I turned my attention back to Mark, as to not make anything awkward.

"Ah, it's no problem. Glad to show a fellow YouTuber where to go. I mean, it isn't THAT hard to find your way around, but... Whatever let's just walk!" Good ol' Mark. This is going to be a nice walk.
