I stood before them, chained to a post. I squeezed my eyes shut as glass, garbage, and food was thrown at me. I was in so much pain. Tears spilled from my eyes. Around me I heard screams of help. But they just cheered as if they just won the lottery. I smacked my head against the post. Can this just be over?
The leader walked over to me. He raised his staff and tapped my head. I raised an eyebrow and struggled to get away. The leader smiled, showing its one tooth. He turned to the crowd of his people. Suddenly, there was a silence. Everyone turned to the middle. They started cheering. I squinted my eyes. I watched someone escort someone to me. Then I realized who it was.
"DON'T HURT MY DAUGHTER!" I shrieked. Lilly was only 3 years old. She was way to young to experience this pain.
"Mom!" Lilly shouted. "Help me!"
I squeezed my eyes shut, but the only power I found was the power of blackness. It had gone black. MY LIFE went black.
