Imagine you are a traveler in a distant land. You come upon a temple near a large wall and go inside to look for somewhere to stay. When you enter, you find an old priest, who appears to be very wise. You ask him about the wall.
"So, what was the wall for? What were they trying to keep out?"
"Nothing. They were trying to keep something in."
