1. The rajja dungeon

The kou empire knew of this, and to ensure further ties with our empire and control it even more, they would have me the first born marry someone of high status from their country. I curtseyed and bowed "it's nice to meet you" 

My father laughed and spoke to Ko "she's beautiful just like I said yes? She'll make a wonderful bride. And I'm sure she'll produce many sons" 

Ko never blinked or left his gaze from me and spoke "you were right your majesty. Lady (l/n) would you care to join me for a walk in the kingdom gardens?" He started to walk towards me. That's when I noticed his full height. I bent my neck back to look up at his face, compared to him, I came up to his shoulders. 

I eased my hand out and spoke "it would be an honor" he took my hand and led me out of the doors, but before I exited the room I heard my father say joyfully to the representative "you were right! This was a good idea!" 

I quietly made a rich sound as the doors close, Ko looked down at me and asked "something the matter?" 

I shook my head no, my hair dancing against my back tickling my skin. "No, just the sight of the view of the land caught me by surprise" 

"That shouldn't surprise you, you have lived here for your entire life" Ko noted with confusion. 

I nodded in agreement "while this is true, but just because I've lived here for many years doesn't mean the beauty of my land does not faze me" 

He nodded "I see" 

Once we reached the garden doors, Ko stood in front of me and opened the door. I nodded my thanks and continued on, while he silently followed behind until we reached the middle of the garden which was decorated with a beautiful pond and benches where you could sit and watch the water ripple, as you greeted with the different smells of the flowers of our kingdom. 

As I sat down on a bench, he sat down beside me, I calmly spoke "so you're the general of an army?" 

"Yes that is correct" 

"Since there is no war to fight at the moment since we lost the other battle against sinbad and his men, what do you do now? If you don't mind me asking" 

He looked at me "you ask a lot of questions. But to answer your question, yes there is not much to do other than continue to train our men and gain numbers since we lost many. But the next main objective is that I am sending some of my best men to the dungeon in your country to gain the metal vessel" 

"What would you do with the metal vessel of the Rajja Dungeon?" 

He lowered his eyebrows a little "I would receive the metal vessel and use it when we are wed and I lead our combined armies and strike sinbad and his men down and conquer the rest of the world." 

I had to contain my excitement, this was my chance, and I had to grip it. Now only to find a way to leave this castle and go with them. A small ring of a bell disrupted my thoughts. I replied to answer Ko's confusion "that is the dinner bell, may you be my escort to the eating room?" He nodded in reply and placed my hand on his elbow and led me towards the eating room. 

Once we were sitting down and finally eating within the silence of the room I blurted "father, i heard that men are being sent out to the rajja dungeon" 

He looked up at me from my plate "where did you hear of this?" 

"Ko told me, may I come?" 

"That is onsurd! You are just a mere woman! And your place is here, how could you ever think of such a question" Blurted the kou empire representative. 

I looked at him with a stern look and replied "I am very good with a sword and my fighting skills are high. My father had me learn these incase I were to lead an army or any attack in his steed. Plus, what better to prove my ferocity as a worthy bride to a warrior then go with his men and fight for the metal vessel and bring it back to him" 

The representative was brewing with fury, Ko had looked up in curiosity. My father spoke "what if you were to die? Hm? What then of your marriage to Ko and the tie of the alliance hm?" 

I looked at my father "im not the only daughter father." 

He sighed softly then looked at Ko and asked "you are to be her husband, what do you think?" 

Ko looked at me again with a piercing gaze then at my father and spoke "I approve, her reasoning is just. And I assure you my men can keep her safe while she fights for the metal vessel." 

The king sighed in defeat "then it is final. Tomorrow morning, (f/n) you will meet Ko's men in front of the borders of our kingdom and head to the dungeon. Do not fail us." 

I bowed and smiled thanking my father. After dinner I retired alone to my quarters and started packing my things for tomorrow. A small rap at the door spooked me, I stood up "come in" the door opened and my third born brother had come into the room with something wrapped in a cloth, handing it to me" 

I gingerly took the item and unwrapped it, it was a sword with the family crest upon the hilt of the sword "this is the family sword! Where did you get this brother!?" 

"Fathers bedroom, I heard about what will happen tomorrow morning" he looked up sternly st me "defeat that dungeon and claim the gjin, then seek help and make the kingdom right again" 

My eyes started to tear up as we hugged a tight embrace. I looked at the sword he gave me that was behind my back and whispered "for our family" 

He whispered back "and our kingdom" 

I would defeat this dungeon, and restore my kingdom. That was a matter of fact, I closed my eyes with that thought as I gripped the leather holt.
