It's been a long time since I've gone on tour. The way I look at it, it's like a paid vacation, where I get to meet hundreds of awesome people. I honestly couldn't love my fans more, I see them as family.
I've been singing for as long as I can remember, and I started writing songs as soon as I learned how to write. My Dad got me a guitar for my sixth birhtday, because I said I wanted to make people happy with music, he taught me how to play the drums the same year, my uncle got me my first key board, and my grandpa gave me a ukulele for my seventh birthday.
I asked my dad if he thought I could learn how to play violin. He told me I could learn how to play any instrument, as long as I never gave up, and always believed I could. So I've never stopped believing. For as long as I can remember, I've felt like music is flowing through my veins, and I need to find a way to express it. So of course, I need to play every instrument I can figure out. I want to change the world, and in a world where everyone listens to music, what better way to change things, than to do something everyone loves?
I want my music to leave a mark on every heart that let's it, I want my songs to speak to every ear that listens, and I want my voice to shake the ground, making people turn and look, and listen, and open their hearts to a new idea, an idea of hope, love, joy, and peace, because I want to be the kind of person that kids can look up to.
And you might think, "She'll never be that kind of influence in the world." But then you have to remember, you're reading this right now, and even when you think you've forgotten what you read, one day someone will say something to you, or you'll see a sign, or you'll feel the right kind of breeze on your skin, and for some reason you'll remember what you read here. And all you've done is read this, imagine the kind of difference I could make, if you were hearing my voice, instead of reading it.
"What do you think?" I asked.
"That was awesome!" Karynn said over the phone.
In the background I hear Chase's voice. "I feel like I should be listening to your newest album right now!"
I laughed at his statement. "Thanks Chase, but that's just the begining of the book that people will get when they buy the special edition of Music Vs. World. I'm more than excited about the movie I'm making too! Oh my gosh! So much is happening, and you guys are so far away. What am I going to do without you on this tour?"
"You're going to blow everyone's minds, that's what!" Karynn shouted.
"And you're going to cry... a lot, because I'm your security blanket."
"Chase, you're so weird." Karynn said sounding a little weirded out by his comment.
"Oh come on, Karynn, we all know it's true, how often does Kat go places without me? Everyone thinks we're dating."
I sighed. "Are you done, Chase?"
"No, I'm not. Karynn, are you jealous, because she doesn't take you everywhere?"
"No, because the only reason she doesn't, is because I'm busy with modling, and my other jobs, like the one I finished today."
"Karynn!" I shouted. "You finished recording for that music video today!?"
