the grimoire

Elena POV
Stefan and I are snuggled up spooning in his bed, I wake up and he wakes up shortly after and kisses me on the cheek as I pull his arm tighter around me

"Mmm. Good morning" I said

"I could get used to this" he said

"Rise and shine, sleepyheads" We heard Damon said

Stefan and I both sit up, startled at Damon's presence at the end of Stefan's bed, while Alex is standing behind him. Both of us pull the sheets up to our chins, covering up any parts we don't want them to see

"Damon! Alex! Please!" I said

"What are you doing?" Stefan said

"Oh, stop being smutty" Damon said

Stefan pulls the sheets further up on me, making sure I'm covered up properly

"Seriously, get out of here!" he said

"If I see something I haven't seen before, I'll throw a dollar at it. Now listen, we have some very important business to discuss" Damon said

"And it has to be right now?" I asked

"Well, we have lots to do, now that we're all friends and working toward a common goal" Alex said

Stefan and I exchange looks as Damon gets up from the end of the bed standing next to Alex and turns around to face us

"So, in order to open the tomb, we need to find the journal to get the grimoire to undo the spells. First things first-since you are Elena Gilbert, you're on journal duty" he said

"Since when am I helping?" I asked

"Well, Stefan's helping, and you've taken up residence in his bed, ergo..."Alex said

"You don't have to do anything that you don't want to do" Stefan said

"I'll look for it tonight" I said

"good" Damon said

"what about Alex? what she is going to do? " I asked

Damon looks at her and smiles "don't worry about her, she has a special job" he said

I lay back down in the bed, pulling the sheets over my face

"How do we know that this journal will hold the location of the grimoire? We're really going to take the word of this vampire? He seemed like a bit of a dimwit" Stefan said

"In lieu of any other options" Damon said

I pull the sheets down and sit up suddenly

"OK, what exactly is a grimoire, anyway?" I asked

"it's a witch's spellbook" Alex said at the same time as Damon

"It's a witch's cookbook" Damon said at the same time as Alex

They both look at each other before looking away

"Every spell that a witch casts is unique unto itself, so every witch would document their work" Stefan said

"Yeah. Cookbook" Damon said

"What about our mystery vampire? Dimwit obviously wasn't working alone, so whoever's out there knows who we are" Stefan said

"And I don't like that disadvantage, so..." he said and claps his hands together "Chop, chop." he said as him and Alex start to walk out of the room, he turns around and continues to walk backwards out of the room while talking to us "You know, I really like this whole menage a foursome team thing. It's got a bit of a kink to it" he said and chuckles "Don't screw it up" he said as they exit out the room
