Testing....chapter 1

TESTING...TESTING... CHAPTER ONE-It was February 14, 2020. Kelli was still at work, in the lab in Bolin School. She was anticipating the end of the day. She was going on a date with her on again off again boyfriend, Kevin. The experiments were almost done. Their legs were halfway finished.

Bolin was very prestigious. It was creating the "perfect" superhuman, that was intended to replace humans, if anything were to happen. Kelli wasn't super happy with her job, but she had to have a job after she got laid off from her last one. She could barely afford her small studio apartment. America was getting worse and worse. It wasn't a democracy anymore. The prices of everything was going up. You couldn't even leave the country if you wanted to.

A few minutes later the experiments were finished. There were 3 of them in the pods. One looked like a blond haired blue eyed girl, the second a boy with shaggy with brown hair. Kelli wasn't quite sure about the last one. It didn't even look human, in fact, it looked like an alien. Kelli decided to name the girl Sierra, the boy Tyler. She just named the alien like one teststudent...

The date was horrible, leaving Kelli in a terrible mood. She still had to go to work. It was time to let out the experiments. She typed in the code, 9102, scared of what would happen. She let out the growth enhancer liquid. Then Kelli typed in another code 9112, the pod slowly opened. She backed up, not knowing what exactly would happen. The girl experiment, Sierra stood up and got out of her pod. She acted very confused. Kelli quickly ushered her into a cage. Sierra just stood their. "One down, two to go". She then let out Tyler. "What is happening, where am I?", said Tyler. Kelli also ushered him into the cage. There was one left, teststudent. Kelli let it out, then backed away. She was scared for her life. What if this one was a maniac. What if it killed her? What if it ran away? She then opened the pod. Teststudent climbed out, attempting to speak. She couldn't understand a thing it said. It started wandering towards the door. She pushed it into the cage and quickly closed it. Kelli sighed in relief. She walked out, it was time for her to go home. Her heart was beating fast, scared, but pleased, knowing her boss would be happy.

It was the next day, and Kelli was going to let out the students. She just said teststudent's name was Taylor, since the name was gender neutral. They were all fifth graders, all put in the same class. They were now normal students, that came from California. The students didn't know a thing about the experiments, or so the staff thought...

Ella was extremely bored. She twirled her hair around her finger, biting her nails. Ms.Denniston was teaching something about dividing fractions. After the lesson, the teacher spoke up, "we have three new students!", "all from sunny California". "This is Sierra, Tyler, and Taylor", "class, please welcome them!". "Your new desks are in the second row, your names are on the nametags". The girl looked pretty, the boy looked nice, then there was the last one "Taylor". Ella wasn't sure if Taylor was a boy or a girl. Taylor just looked weird. She hated to say that, but it was true. She couldn't even describe Taylor. All the new kids sat down. "Hi, are you Ella", said Taylor. Ella hesitated, then finally managed to say yes. "Okay, now, for art I am going to partner you guys up, we are making abstract paintings". "Noah and Kallie, Brian and Stacie, Charlie and Sierra, Tyler and Miah, Jessica and Barron, Brittany and Elliot, Ian and Ariana, Selena and Antonio, and lastly Taylor and Ella". Ella's best friend Jessica looked over, giving Ella a empathetic look. Ella didn't want to be with the new kid. What if everyone thought she was weird? "Ian, please give everyone a canvas, Miah, give every group a plate of paint", "This project can be done however you want to", "Just paint, try to get to know your partner better", "Barron, please give everyone two paintbrushes", "Once he's done, you can get started". Ella froze. She had no idea what to do. It seemed Taylor was the same way. They just sat there for a few seconds. Ella finally managed to say "do you, um, want to, um, get started?" oh, yeah, sure". Ella grabbed the larger brush and dipped it into the orange paint. She made a long stroke on the paper, curving it, making the most odd shape, but very intriguing. Then Taylor picked up the smaller angled brush. Taylor dipped it into the red paint, then made a shape on the orange paint, that looked like a ribbon was wrapping around it. "Wow, that looks really nice, do you like art?", said Ella. Taylor gave a small nod. Ella then grabbed the smaller brush, dipped it into the blue paint. She made another long curved line. Taylor dipped the brush in the purple paint, and made the same ribbon shape on the line. They kept on doing this, getting to know eachother more and more. Ella seemed to like Taylor. Who knows, maybe they'll be friends.

Alex creeped along the wall, just enough so they could hear their conversation. "I love that band, what's your favorite song?", "oh, um, it's, it's their new one". "Really, mine too!". Hm, that was Taylor and Ella for sure. Alex had noticed that Taylor was acting a little weird. Taylor had memorized 76 times 42, but forgot what 7 times 3 was. Taylor was like that for everything. Alex walked towards the end of the school, slipping past the janitor, into their secret room. Alex spent a lot of their time exploring the mysterious school, learning many secrets along the way. Alex knew Mr.Springer, the P.E. teacher was having and affair with Celeste Westbrook's mom, that Ms. Hawthorne was pregnant, with her ex boyfriend's baby, that Mr. Smith had a secret child with his former girlfriend, and his wife knew nothing about it. Alex had a secret society in the school. People payed her for information. She told Mr. Gomez why he never saw his wife for $50.00. The more major the information, the more it costed. It was a very successful business. Alex put the new information into their laptop. Alex did everything on their laptop. Alex had hacked into the school security system many times. Alex had access to all the security cameras, all the staffs emails, the grades, and the student's information. Alex would give A's for $20.00, and B's for $10.00. Alex did her routine security camera check. Mrs. Cole was making out with Mr.Harvard in the teachers bathrooms. Kallie was stealing lunch money from somebody's
backpack. The lunch ladies were mixing some mysterious liquid for the school lunch that day. Then, wait was that a new camera? It seemed like it was in some sort of lab. A woman was pacing across the floor, she looked very stressed. There were 3 pods in the middle of the room. Alex zoomed in on a bottle. It said "growth enhancer liquid". What was that? It's like they were growing some sort of animal. Next to it was a piece of paper that said 9102, the code the school used for everything. Alex found out this camera was underground, somewhere under the music room. Alex shut the laptop, slipped out of the room, and headed towards the music room. Mr.McAllister, the music teacher, was organizing some music stands, so Alex went into a bathroom stall and just stood there for a couple of minutes. Alex then walked out, and saw that the music teacher had left, most likely for his lunch break. The music teachers lunch break was 30 minutes long, so Alex had some time. Alex walked in, locked the door, and put a piece of paper over the small window on the door. They snooped around, then Alex found a small handle in the wall, which had been hidden very well. Alex pulled on it a little bit and it swung open. Then there was a door that you had to put a secret passcode in.
