Chapter 1

Sarah's POV

I am Sarah Arabella Dallas. Age 16 and daughter of Gina Dallas. My mom and dad got divorced when i was 10. Hurt us pretty badly but we were strong. My brother, cameron, and also my bestfriend, is 18.

He's the best person i could ever ask for. I dont need a father when i have a great brother like cameron. We're happy. Mom got her a boyfriend named josh that made all of us super happy. 

Today was my mom's and josh's 2 years anniversary, so of course they had to go for date night. It's also the night that josh wants to propose to mom. We were absolutely excited to have a new family member.. until...

While those two love birds were out on their special night, Cam and I decided to watch movie and have some pizza. Everything's going great until the clock struck 12. Josh said they would be back before 11 but its an hour after and still no sign of them. Me being me was freaking out and had a panic attack. Cam was worried too but he tried calming me down which of course it worked.
Then, the phone rang.

Cam picked it up and all i heard him say was "hello"

"w-what?!?" "Hold on I'll be right there!"

He shouted at me and said "Sarah! Get up!

Mom and josh got into an accident!"

I literally jumped up from the coach and ran into the car while Cam got the keys and drove off. The car ride was just sounds of me freaking out until the car stopped only to see that the car josh drove is in pieces now.

Sirens of police officers and ambulances. And i saw my mother and josh getting pulled out from the crash. They were rushed to the hospital. And so Cam and I were too. We waited for hours but only to get news that they've passed away.  

And snap, just like that, I've lost my mom, the woman who gave me life, the woman who brought me the best brother ever, the woman who raised me since day one of me being alive. Gone. Just like that. I broke into tears. So did Cameron. We couldn't do anything. We only had each other at that point.
