You sat in class, your body occasionally shifting around to chat with your friends. It was in the morning, and period one was about to start. You nodded with boredom to your friend's continuous rants on her boyfriend, where you clearly did not seem engaged in this one-sided conversation. You were not really that interested in love right now, all you cared about was the internet, your games and maybe a little bit about school.

You muttered quiet "Mmhms" and "Yeahs", secretly hoping for the bell to ring. Your wishes came true when a loud ring signaled first period followed by the teacher walking in. You immediately turned your back to face the front and cut off your friend's sentence short.

The teacher, Mr Kirkland was a young and rather good-looking adult who taught chemistry, and you did say that he made it quite interesting especially when it came to mixing chemicals and brewing them, he almost looked like he enjoyed it a bit too much.

"Good morning class. Today, we will be focusing on chemical formulas." he greeted, his voice filling the room. This caused groans to erupt from the room since not much people fancied this part of chemistry. Mr Kirkland smiled.

"Now now everyone, don't be so down now. There is something a little exciting for you all, we have a new student joining the class! Make the new student feel welcomed!" he clapped his hands and managed to cause a few heads to rise.

A few whispers were heard around the room, the majority being female.

Mr Kirkland strutted over to the door and opened it, to reveal a cheerful, foreign-looking boy. He had olive, tanned skin and messy brown locks with beautiful green eyes. His smile lit up the whole room, the whispers getting louder now with his presence. Even you admitted that he was pretty hot.

You felt a sharp poke on your shoulder forcing you to turn around in annoyance.

"What is it?" you asked your friend. She looked at you for a moment before returning her gaze to the attraction at the front.

"Girl, he's so hot! Do you not see his eyes? I would so totally date him!" she squealed.

You rolled your eyes and scoffed.

"You have a boyfriend."

Her fangirling session was cut short with a frown.

"Oh yeah."

You laughed softly and turned back to face the front to see Mr Kirkland pointing to a seat in front of you. You guessed that he was probably now going to sit in front of you, probably meaning you may have to talk to him since he looked like an outgoing person.

He turned to face in your direction and smiled at you and waved. You smiled and nodded, acknowledging his greeting. He walked to the desk in front of you and pulled the chair back and sat down. He almost immediately turned around to you.

"Hola, chica!" he grinned, his eyes staring into your own. A light blush tinted your cheeks before you answered back a soft "Hello".

He chuckled at your shyness and introduced himself.

"My name is Antonio, Antonio Fernández Carriedo. What's yours?" he said, a light Spanish accent lacing his words.

"I'm (F/N) (L/N). It's nice to meet you." you smiled, offering a hand for him to shake. He gladly took it with two hands and shook yours slowly. You blushed at how long he was holding your hand for and pulled your hand away.

"Uh..." you muttered under your breath, unsure of what to say.

"Aww, don't be shy! I was just shaking your hand!" he laughed.
