*beep* *beep* *beep* ... *be-* *click*... *rustling* ... *footsteps* Wednesday morning, March 2016. *sizzle* *sizzle* My name is Chisaki Kitamora, I'm 18 and hoping to get the honors student award this year. *door open*

"Mornin' Mia."

*Door close*

"It's cloudy today, do you think it will rain?"

Mia stopped and directed her attention to the sky,

"I don't know, Your should bring both of your umbrellas just in case. You wouldn't want to get your papers wet."

Mia is my foster parent, even though she is more of a sister to me.

"Do you want any food Mia?"

When I was 12 my mom died, my dad died before I was born.

"Um..What are you cooking?"

I had the same reply every morning,

"..eggs.."

" I think i'll have some toast." "Do you want something else other than eggs Chisaki?"

"No eggs are good"

Mia chuckled to herself, she often does. My whole life after I was 12 I have been alone, but of course Mia was their for me. She's always there for me.

"It's 8:00 I need to go.."

Mia shifted her gaze to me from the morning paper,

"Have fun."

*door open* *door close*

*drip* *drip* I looked up at the sky, *drip* the rain started slow then it started to pour down as if it were angry. 'Glad I brought this' I mumbled as I opened my rain umbrella. I live in New York and go to . Its nice.. I guess. I like central park, I think that's the only thing I like. It's really loud and I have to wear earplugs when I'm working. Most people get jobs at my age. Jobs like working at a fast food restaurant or some other non educational, non progressing job. I prefer not to be covered in the smell of grease at the end of the day.

"Hey girlie, what are you doing?"

"Hello Mr. Mosia, I'm just on my way to school."

My classmates tend to stay away from me because I look different. My skin is pale, my hair is pale, my eyes are pale. They often judge me because I carry around a sun umbrella, I need it because my skin is so pale. I'm prone to getting sun burns. 8:30 sharp, always at school at that time so I can get into class first. I feel awkward today, but I don't know why. When I got to the school building it was 8:31. I walked into my class and Leah was their.

"I got in class second?"

I sat in my seat. 9:00 by now most people were in the class, James just sat down, he was the so called rebel of the school. I'm surprised he's even in high school, the professor usually doesn't pay attention to him because James could care less about education and making enough money to sustain himself. I guess the only thing keeping him here is his parents.

"Chisaki, James to the principal's office immediately."

Mr. Saitama called from the door.

"Why.. Why?"

Me and James made our way to the main office.

"Over here Kitamora."

The head of the school beckoned us over. A bead of sweat formed on my forehead as we entered the dim lit and what looked like an interrogation room. I felt weird being here. I don't think I did anything wrong. I just don't know why I'm here, especially the fact that I'm with the least likely person that I would ever think I would be standing here with. Well he has gotten suspended before, maybe once, or three, four times...

"Hey loser, Ya you James, listen up. As you know James, Kitamora is the smartest student in this school, from now until I say she is your personal tutor."

James stood there shocked, motionless, looking at the head of the school. I think I was staring at Mr. Ronas too.

"Wait wait wait, old man, you're saying, I have to work with this scrub?"

James pointed a finger at my face.

"Yes, but she is not a scrub, she is a brilliant student, and I am proud to have her at this school."

"Wait, Mr. Ronas..."

Chisaki interrupted.

"Yes Kitamora?"

"Define tutor."

"From now until I say otherwise you will help James bring up his grades and pursue his education, I could think of noone better for this job. Not only will you teach James how to be a good student, James will be teaching you-"

I couldn't hear anymore, I felt dizzy, like I was going to fall, going to pass out. Why, what could he teach me. My brain was spinning its gears too fast. I saw his lips moving, talking to me, but no sound came out. I saw James slam his hands on the table, he was angry, yelling at Mr. Ronas. I started to fall back, I lost balance, I, fell.
