So basically, each girl from our team is going to explain why they chose to enter the White Plains High School Robotics Team. Not sure what to do with myself while they have the computer, but I'll let the other girls handle this for a while. Happy reading!

Rachel POV:

So hey! Okay, I made the decision to join robotics towards the end of my sophomore year. Some of you may wonder, "Why..?" I joined robotics from hearing about how well they did the year before and I wanted to get more involved in extracurricular classes rather than sitting at home doing nothing. I actually knew the girls a little before I joined and I decided to give it a chance and I ended up loving it and having amazing life long friends along the way. Robotics opened my eyes to opportunities for the future and I am forever grateful I joined.

Rebecca POV:

Hey, it's me again! So here's my little spill.

At the end of my sophomore year, I had to make the difficult decision to end my time with the marching band as a member of their color guard. With the impending junior year approaching, I found myself with LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO. I sat at home and did homework and then proceeded to binge Grey's Anatomy (George dies, by the way). Mr. Shaw had been my Physical Science teacher the previous semester and almost everyday, students would bring into class these funky, half put together mess of wires and wheels for Mr. Shaw to form some sort of opinion on. What sparked my interest was the very fact that these students could make these pieces of metal move in any way they desired. And you know what? I desired that just as much. I began asking Mr. Shaw questions about this so called "robotics program", and he gave me all the information I needed to know about how to get involved along with an application packet to study for my first day in the robotic's class. And the rest, my dear reader, is history.
