Wind whipped through my brown  hair. My cheeks and nose were surely as red as a rose. The stormy clouds filled the air with an electric smell fused with chimney smoke from the houses lining the block. My loud purple slouch beanie accompanied by my knee length black tie around coat, and black studded ankle boots made a killer combo. Grey, black, and white loose knit infinity scarf keeping my neck warm. Witty Walts coffee shop had made me a fantastic pumpkin spice latte to go. Grabbing my keys out of my messenger bag as I finally approached our green two story two car garage house. the warmth of my house enveloped me as I walked in.

"I WAAAAAAANT YOU TO WAAAANT ME I NEEEEEED YOU TO NEEEEEEEED ME!!!!" My brothers tone deaf voice blared Cheap Trick's fantastic classic song from the kitchen as I took off my coat, boots, scarf and hat.

Pulling down the sleeves of my black and white 'I DON'T TRUST ME EITHIER' sweater I walked in taking a sip of my latte. I walked into see him making his infamous triple choco peanut butter balls. Wonder what the occasion is I thought to myself.

"Kaiden! Hey!" Black clad fingernails gripped around my hip, I walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"AHHH! What in the world...," He turned around and laughed at himself as soon as he saw me." Oh its just you, You scared the crap out of me Xie. You owe me, "

My youngest big brother of all seven of them gave me a hug, and put away his headphones and we made small talk that ended with plans to go to the coffee shop I just came from, Witty Walts, on Sunday and checkout the new cupcake bar that's under construction for my birthday. While Kaiden was telling me about the frat house he was pledging for when pledge week started at the University of Washington, a voice materialized.

"Mmmmmm what's that smell?" Edmund, my eldest brother, walked into he kitchen.

I stared at him in blunt astonishment. He lives in Australia as a marine biologist, and he only visits on Christmas and any of his vacations which only land around Thanksgiving, Next month. 'Was he here for my birthday? He couldn't be.' I thought to myself. 'The point is, he's here' Slipping off the counter a wide smile on my face I ran up to the short 5'9 32 year old and jumping up giving him a hug, thinking back to last year when he was absent from my Sweet sixteen; and how happy I am that he's here this year.

"How are you here? Why? How long?"

"Slow down hot rod. I came here on a plane, for your seventeenth birthday, and a whole week," He smiled slyly," I brought some friends. Boys!"

The door burst open and bellowing laughter filled the house. A group of men came around the corner, suddenly it dawned on me. the group was my brothers.

"Guys?" I whispered in disbelief and gratefulness.

"Hey sis, Ed thought we should make a family occasion about your birthday. We got in about an hour ago, " Jay said smiling giddily like the rest of them, like they knew something I didn't.

"I cant believe this. Thanks guys, I've missed you all , "

I gave them a hug in order from youngest to oldest: Jay, Tyler, Gabe, James, Dean, and Edmund.

"Hey honey, I'm home!" My moms voice rings through the house, and not long after she comes in her five foot two figure swishing in.

"Hey boys! How was your flight together from Nevada?"

"Good I missed you mom," Jay gave mom a big hug. soon enough we were all hugging and laughing.

DING, DING, DING!

The cooking alarm went off and Kaiden slipped on an oven met and pulled the last batch of cookies from the oven.
