Three Down, One to Go (Part 32)

Start from the beginning

I stood straight, and waited for them to come closer. I waited and waited. One breath in, one breath out. 3 more steps till they were close enough to touch me. One more breath in, and another one out. All of the trainees were in my range now. Just as the biggest of the 4 trainees was about to strike. I dropped into a crouch, then spun. I hit the legs of the first trainee, and he droped. Then the second, and she stumbled backwards. I hit the third, and she colapsed, and finally, the last trainee. I swung at his legs, but he jumped over it, but I wasn't that stupid, I kept my momentum going as I stood up. I made the full rotation in under 5 seconds, and hit the trainee directly in the chest. The boy heaved, then colapsed. I turned expecting another trainee, but I saw them all on the ground. They all seamed to be struggling with their own injury, but none of them were bleeding, I sighed. That was too close.

"I won't amount to much? Well, I think you will have a different view on that now," I said as I walked away. The only response I got was a groan.

The flag was gone, and so were my teamates. Great. I was left all alone. I spun, then headed towards Grianan's section. They had to have headed that way. I jogged through the trees unworried. I had survived the way there without attack, I think I could survive the way back too.

By the time I had made it back to Grianan's territory, I was tired of my limp arm, but I brought my emotions under control.

I saw my group up ahead, and I jogged faster to catch up to them. They were carring the green flag of Bromley, and they had huge smiles on their faces. As soon as they saw me, then gave out a little whoop.

"Great job-" a burly and shorter boy said. "-sorry, what is your name?"

"Cait," I said. "And you?"

"Jonathan."

I turned to the next person in my group. There were several moments of silence before she realized what was happening.

"Oh! Sorry. My name is Peira," the girl said. I immediately recognized her from before. Her brown hair swooshed in front of her face to hide her embarassment.

"Tristan," the next boy said. He had bonde hair, and stricking blue eyes. Typical white boy...

"HAL037--"

I groaned at the boys citation.

"What is up with these stupid codes!" I screamed. I then turned to the tall, yet skinny boy. "Sorry, what do you think of Halo?"

Halo looked at me. "I guess I like that..." he said.

"Ok then. Halo, Peira, Tristan, and Jonathan. Nice to meet you and great job! We officailly beat Bromley!" Our group gave a little cheer. I looked at our defense, and saw that they were doing significantly better without Bromley attacking them. I counted 10 missing, and several damaged. That meant approxamately 50 trainees still on defense. That would be good enough for now...

"Who next?" I asked.

"How about we try whipping out Eaton?" Tristan suggested.

Everyone gave out a groan.

"I guess it has to be done at one point..." I said. There was a rumble, and the Bromley ground quickly sunk into the ground to be changed into Grianan territory. The tower was gone, and there were just rocky hills in the place of Bromley's forest. I looked out at the battle arena. I watched a girl sneak up the face of Bethabara's tower. I watched as the continuous circling of the Bethabara trainees grew closer to her. She was about to be discovered. Then I saw her Grianan symbol. Crap... "Wait on that thought!" I yelled over my shoulder.

I jumped onto an empty plate, and sent it quickly towards the patrol that would find the girl on the wall. I would give her time, all she needed to do was get the flag then find her way back to Grianan. Her offensive team was doing all they could to create a distraction, but it wasn't working well. I was now within 5 yards of the patrols plate.
