That's our world

When the earth took shape and the first lizard walked lazily through the hot sand, no one thought that life would be split in two, that people would have to fight for their existence. Over time, bloody wars consumed the world, and many fighters left behind only stains of color on the pale, damp mud. It was all in vain. A mere being with a human aura could never stand up to the beasts that threatened her. Some chose to withdraw and accept their fate, and others voluntarily made their way to death.
It was said that mankind had become too sinful, and this was God's punishment for the deeds committed, but I believe it was a curse. No one was happy. The normal ones were frightened by the presence of faster, stronger, more agile and more cunning creatures, and they, in turn, were angry about the Hell they had fallen into. People with good hearts tried to restore peace, but that didn't last: they all rebelled.
The wisest isolated themselves, and the beasts forgot about their existence and gave them the peace for which they prayed. For centuries the fallen have tried to live together. Together, however, the world wasn't big enough for everyone. They fought among themselves to earn a place under the sun, but there was no winner, so they remained separated carrying hatred towards each other.
Now they have adapted to people's habits, even if they would like to come out and show what they can really do.
