The sound of the cheerping fire alarm echoed threw out the house making me wake up instantly. I looked around surrounded by fire dust and the fiery flames of hell. I shifted around my bed trying to figure out a safe way to get over the fire. The fuems startled my nose with a heavy smell all the way down my throats making it hard to breath. I coughed throwing a pillow onto the floor to test if it was safe, it caught in flames the second it touched the ground. I heard seirns ring outside with blue red and white lights flashing threw my window on to the wall.

I coughed covering my mouth standing up on my two feet stumbling on my mattress. "Help!" I shouted. "Help me!"

"Get the kids!" I heard my father cough from the other side of the door.

"Dad! I'm here!"

The door swung open with my dad standing there barely breathing covered with charcoal dust. "Dad help me."

"Son try getting over here, I can't go in." He shouted.

"How?!"

"Your one smart lad I know you can figure something out." He incourged my thinking.

I noticed the drawer next to my bed still clear of the fire, from there I could grab onto the side of the window. I took a few steps back and charged for a leap. I landed right on the side trying to grab the edge, my grip kept slipping as I struggled to push myself up from the side. I screeched in pain when my ankle got stung by the burning light. It gave me the push I needed not wanting to feel any of the pain. I went onto the window grabbing onto the glass as close as possible scooting slowly on my tippy toes advoiding the flames behind me. The glass suddenly felt to be warming up, I paused in my tracks and looked down. "Louis," my dad noticed something I didn't. "Get off from there now!" He rushed in trying to advoid the fire. The glass became to hot to hold I didn't know what to do. "Louis jump now that glass is about to-" before he could finish the glass bursted open sending a few shards of glass into my flesh. I cried out feeling like little needles pushed right into my veins. I fell back into my fathers arms, he groaned while he struggled to get both of us out. Smoke filled the halls, my mother carried Lottie in one arm with her head burried in her shoulder. My dad handed me over to my mom "take them and get out of here." He coughed.

"Daniel..." my moms soft voice said. I felt her pull me close by my shoulder. I looked up at her and she was in tears. She was starring at my dad and I could see twinkling in her eyes, my eyes looked towards my dad and his pj pants were caught in flames leading up to his back. My hearing went sharp and vivid as I watched my dad belt out in a scream trying to get the flames off. The hand of my mom covered my eyes pulling me and my sister down the stairs. We were encountered by a huge flame, I looked up at my mom for a answer. She bent down and looked at me coming up with a plan. "Take good care of your little sister, promise me." Pain lingered in her tone. I didn't say anything in shock. "Promise me Lou please."

I nodded, "I promise mommy." She sent me a soft smile resting her hand on my cheek.

She kissed my forehead, she held me and my sister close. Her body was trembling as tears fell on my shoulder. "I love you both so much." With one more kiss on our foreheads she stood up and picked me up setting me down on the other side of the stair rails that was quiet a height. "Catch your sister." She lifted my little sister that was only a two years younger then me and reached as far as she can before letting her fall into my arms. I looked up at my mom and saw her smile. Lottie was on her feet by now as I held her small tiny hands "Now go!"

I did as she told and ran as fast as my 6 year old legs could carry me while holding my scared little sisters hand. I looked back and saw my mom run back up the stairs and disappear into a room. We were greeted by firemen checking and asking if we were okay. Everything around seemed so surreal. I stood there looking at all the people trying to help. The creaking off the house crumbling echoed threw my mind while the front door calapsed as they tried to rush in but it was to late. They took my sister putting a breathing mask on her. The more I stood there the more everything slowed down. My arm begin gripped as I calapsed was the last thing I remember.
