My eyes opened and I screamed when I heard the beginning of Tear In My Heart by Twenty One Pilots being blasted into my ears accompanied by the sound of laughter from my annoying 17 year old brother, Liam. "What the hell, Li?!?", he was literally dying of laughter. "You should've seen your face" he yelled while wiping the tears from his face.
Yup, this is my life. Being woken up everyday by a brother who seems to love pissing you off but is still super over-protective...I kid you not. "Get out of my room dumbass!" I yelled at him after he finally stopped laughing. "Fine, but mom said we're leaving in 10 so we can go drop off Cass" he informed me, with a smirk. "Oh shit! I forgot that was today," then I noticed he was fully dressed, "Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked, "Because it's fun watching you stress" he replied nonchalantly then he left my room. "Idiot" I muttered under my breath.
I had no idea what to wear because it was the first day of school and apparently, "I have to dress good because first impressions count and if I dress like a hobo, like I usually do,no one will like me" this is all coming from my older sister Cassie who we're dropping off at Uni today, she's going to NYU which is quote on quote "her dream school" insert eye roll here. I eventually settled on this:

When I got downstairs, my whole family was eating breakfast. Cassie looked up at me then said "Wow Kay! You actually dressed up well" and Liam and mum chuckled while nodding their heads, "Gee thanks for the ego boost guys" I rolled my eyes and took a slice of toast then sat down. I then helped myself to three more slices and the remaining like five pieces of bacon. What? I like to eat. After about ten minutes my sister ,who loved to take her sweet time, was ready to go.
We eventually got there and, surprise,surprise, Cassie and mum started crying. I for one was struggling not to cry as my sister hugged me and whispered in a choking voice, "Don't be scared okay, remember what I told you, be confident, chin up and smile, okay? You'll be fine" I nodded and finally let my tears fall. "Sure she will," Liam snorted, "High School in America will eat her alive, she barely coped back in England" Wow, how supportive. Cassie frowned, "Shut up Li!" she said in an attempt to scare him one last time, it worked. "I was just saying..." he tried to defend himself, "Don't listen to him" mum said with a reassuring smile. I just rolled my eyes and said "I never do" then Cassie laughed through her tears and gave me a high-five, "You keep doing that" she said. "Anyways, good luck Kay,you'll need it" Li finally said. Then we had one last group hug before we left, but Liam' words kept playing in my head, "Good luck, you'll need it"
This is my first book on Wattpad and I'm really excited even though I don't know what I'm doing :)
