Everything was a wreck. It was my first day in the city and I was already extremely stressed. I heard so many awful things about the man I was interning for. He intimidated me just from the pictures I had seen of him and I was told he was cruel and strict. A 'one strike and you're out' kind of man. I walked into the huge building, and once I got into the privacy of the elevator, I fixed my skirt and blouse. I was fresh out of college and a nervous mess. This was my first internship and I was determined to make a good impression on this man. Mr. Lennox. Even his name made shivers go down my spine. as soon as I walked out of the elevator, a petite, beautiful blonde came over to me. "You're Ms. Mathers, I presume." I knodded in response, slightly confused as to how she knew who I was. "He has been awaiting you. He asked that I take you to him as soon as you arrive. Follow me, please." She began walking down a hall and I followed like a lost puppy. This building is huge and it would definitelt take me quite some time to even memorize this floor and where my office would be. Suddenly, she came to a stop in fron of giant doors. She knocked on the door and opened it. I stepped in and there he was, just standing there. He was facing the window. I'm sure he was aware of my presence, the woman had knocked to let him know someone was entering. He had to have known I was there but he showed no indications of this. It was like he didn't care. "Uh, hello, Sir.", I said somewhat shakily, unsure of what to do. "Hello, Ms. Mathers.", he responded cooly. He turned around and looked at me with these cold blue eyes. "Take a seat, if you'd please. I have some things I'd like to discuss with you."
