Love is Weakness

Chapter 1

~ Lexa's POV ~

I tap my pencil against the desk, and move my foot in sync to the beat of the tap. I click my tongue and shift my eyes around the room. I lock eye contact with a boy. He smirks and lifts his eyebrows, I mock the smile back and wink. "Fuck you", I mouth. The boys eyes widen and he scoffs, he shifts back facing forward. I feel a sense of accomplishment and smirk aloud.

"Lexa?"

I pull my attention back to the front and stop tapping my pencil. I smile and tilt my head, "Yes?". The teacher crosses his arms, "Care to pay attention?".

I blink forcefully and nod, "Always".
I feel everyone looking at me and I shift my eyes across the room making eye contact with judging eyes.

The bell rings and I quickly rush out the classroom. I make my way through the halls and make my way to my library. I call it my library because well, it's my library. I've spent the last 4 years in that library, trying to avoid people at all costs.

I sit in my corner and put my feet on the short stool in front of me, and pull out my laptop. I then feel a tap on my shoulder, I shift my eyes as a body walks besides me, and is now in front of me.

I roll my eyes.

It's the same boy who was looking at me in class. He again raises his eyebrows and squats meeting eye level. "Hey, Lexa", he smirks, "what's up?".

I sit up and close my laptop, "I'm not interested". The boy shrugs his shoulders, "I'm Finn". I scoff, "I know" I say.

Finn scoots closer to me, "I've seen you around". I squint my eyes, "No shit". Finn laughs, "I like what I see".

I laugh and twirl my hair, "Oh", I bite my lip, "Really?".

Finn looks down at me from my eyes to my toes, and scoots closer. He says softly, "Really".

I tilt my head and pull my mouth to whisper in his ear. I clear my throat, "Well that's too bad, cause I'm gay". Finn pulls away and stares at me. He scoffs and stands up.

"Fucking freak", Finn says and storms out. I sit back in my chair and smile,

 oh how I love my library.
