It was just a normal day for me. I was cooped up in my room like always. My brother, Will, was at his beloved Camp Half Blood. Ugh, I wish I could go there....my mom says "Oh your too young Sharla!!" or "It's too dangerous!!" Like what the heck?! I'm 12
years old for the gods sake! A kid went there when she was 7!! PLEASE MOM LET ME BE AT THE CAMP.

Anyway, like I was saying I was cooped up in my room, doodling some random stuff from the top of my head, until someone knocked on my door. If was none other than my beloved mom. "Ugh what is it ma?" I said. "Sharla, I know I've been trying to keep you away from Camp Half Blood but it's about time I--" I could hardly let her finish her sentence. She was FINALLY gonna let me go to Camp Half Blood! "Mom...I already know what you're gonna say. And THANK YOU." She had a huge smile, but it was kind of worried. "I'm gonna start packing. NOW." I said as I jumped off my bed.

"YES FINALLY!" I thought. This was the happiest day of my life! Waayyy happier than my birthday or April Fools day.

After an eternity of packing clothes, water balloons, and art stuff I finally closed my suitcase and backpack. Yeah I'm more artsy than musical. Y'know for an Apollo kid I really don't sing much. Yeah, big shocker amirite!

"MAAAAA!" I said running down the stairs. "When do we leave??" I asked ecstatically. She just glared at me. I had absolutely no idea what she was implying at first. NO IDEA. "Um...ma?" I asked again. "You said you could do things on your own, didn't you? You can leave me alone anytime you want, Will--" she got cut. How in Zeus' good name did she mistake me for an idiot like Will? "M-ma?" I stuttered. "Sorry. You can leave when you want Sharla. It's just...tell Will to visit some time soon ok?" she said with a sad smile. "Oh ma..." I said giving her a huge hug. "I'll miss you! And I won't forget to write!" I said letting go of her. "Go now! I don't want you to wait another year haha!" she told me as she pushed me back. "Ok ma! I love you!" I said as I ran out the door.

"Now which way to go..." I asked myself. "Ah! TO THE FOREST!!" I said as I ran to the greener side of the road.

It had been an hour or so when I reached the dead center of the forest. "How big is this place anyway?!" I complained. I was interrupted by a loud growl. "WHAT THE HADES?!?" I exclaimed. I turned and saw a huge dog thingy. "Oh yes." I thought. "My adventure has BEGUN!!" "COME AT ME BUSTER!" I yelled at the beastly thing. Nope. No weapons. But who needs those when you have A BACKPACK?!? Yes, a backpack. My AMAZING WEAPON. I used it to beat up the bullies in my boarding school. Man, you should've seen the looks on their faces. BEGGING FOR MERCY. And no, I am not a psychopath. Anyway I waved my hand at the dog. I lead it to a good space to beat it up.

I kept running. No single place was good enough to knock that beast out. Then I found it. A beautiful yet spacious field. I ran to it. "HEY BUSTER! OVER HERE!" I yelled. It charged toward me like a bull. "Fite me, bish" I whispered as I jumped on the thing's back. It shook me around but I was able to keep balance. Looks like those gymnastics classes as a kid payed off. I raised my hand and hit it with my backpack. It slowed down. I tried to hit it again, but it shook me off. I landed butt first onto the ground. "HA! I-IS THAT AL-L YOU GOT?!" I was hurt. Like real bad but I could stand up pretty ok. My spine wasn't damaged anyway. I opened my bag and brought out a sharp pair of scissors. I dropped the rest of my stuff to the ground. I ran to the beast and stuck my scissors onto its back thigh. It kick me off. My hand was scratched by my own scissors. My whole body hurt so much. I was getting unconscious. My vision was blurry when suddenly I heard a voice. "LEAVE THAT KID ALONE!" it yelled. The voice seemed to be a girl's voice. I could only hear at this point. There were growls and howls of pain, slashing of swords, yelling of a language I have never heard of before then it all stopped. Everything was silent. I thought I was dead. I heard more voices of people surrounding me. I felt being carried up somewhere. I couldn't tell where I was but I knew I was in a good place.
