Change of heart (Shizaya)

Act one

A/N- hey! So this is my first fan fiction so idk how it will turn out... :/ anyways, I don't know how long it will be and il try and update it regularly, but I might not be great at updating (i guess just stick with it or something?) but I swear il try! ^-^
Awesome! And away we go!

Izaya POV-
Beep beep beep be-
I slam my hand down against the alarm that so rudely disturbed my sleep. That shuts it up as I roll over into the warm blankets and press my face to the pillow, letting my eyes drift shut again. A while later I finally work up the effort to drag myself out of my warm cocoon. I reach my hand up to pull my hair out of my face but something seems wrong-
"Huh?" I try to say but it comes out as quiet, inhuman mewl as I see a small black paw raised above my face. What? What's going on? I feel my eyes widen as I jump out of my bed and see it suddenly massively outsized. Everything seems so much bigger now. This is weird...
Trying not to panic I feel myself on all fours rush to my mirror. Sure enough looking back at me is a sleek black cat with large, scared eyes and movements matching my own.
Now not even bothering to hide my panic I rush around the house trying to get out and get help. Curse me and my insistence to lock everything...
Next thing I hear is the door handle turning and I see...myself walk through?
"Hey kitty" he says with a smirk and pokes my side, making me skitter back. "Hey now, no need to be scared... it's not like I turned you into anything bad..."
I hiss at him but he only laughs.
"Chill, I just wanna know what it's like being 'the infamous Izaya Oriharu' for a bit" he grins. A grin full of malice and loathing. "Oh and of course, I don't want you here. You don't have a cat. So Shinra is taking care of the problem for me- I called in that favour"
What the hell? I jump at him and try to scratch him, taking great enjoyment from getting a long red scratch slashed across my..his... stupid smirk. But before I can do any more I'm shoved into a wire cat box and the door latched before me. Now I really start to panic, losing my cool completely and scratching all I see. I don't even notice him carry me into a taxi as I focus all my energy into trying to escape. I only notice my change of scene when I hear Shinra's familiar voice squeak "awh he's so cute!"
"Be careful, he's a stray so he's kinda feral"
"Awh don't be silly! He's such a cutie! Look at those big eyes!" I see his face loom in front of me with a huge smile plastered across it. "I'm sure he will love it!"
Who? What's happening? I don't like this- I'm supposed to have the information not be messed about like this!
I hear the grin in my impersonator's voice as he says "you never told me Shizu-chan is a cat lover"
"Oh you can't know that! He will kill me if he know 'the flea' found out about his secret!" Shinra squeaks and then I freeze. They don't mean..?
"AM I GOING TO STAY WITH THE MONSTER?!" I try to yell but I comes out as a string of meows and purrs.
Sure enough, I'm picked up by Shinra and he waves at 'me' and begins walking away, carrying my helpless form with him. I see 'me' sarcastically wave at me and I only respond with a hiss.
"Hey you know what? Can I walk with you too? I'd love to see Shizu-chan's natural habitat..." 'I' say wistfully and I can sense Shinra dithering.
"NO!" I try to shout but it's just a slight meow. Shit I went and fucked up again: that only made Shinra, the oblivious motherfucker, think I wanted him to come.
The three of us (well two and a cat) walk off to 'the monster's home. I wonder what horrors will befall me upon reaching his house? If only there was some way to get Shinra to help me? It's so against my character but...please...Shinra...

Please...help me...
