This day began just like any other in the 31st century, with the sound of the news playing in every home at six thirty A.M. The news told of a peace treaty between humans and chimpanzees, the passed legislation that allows people to marry inter-specially, and the opening of a library. Of course William Harco never heard the news because he had already left for work at the library. William caught the 5:20 train from downtown New York to central Detroit and arrived at work by 6.
William was a well kempt 27 year old man with high ambitions and low inhibition. He always wore the same flannel shirt with khakis, rode the same train, are the same eggs and ham at the same diner, and he always talked to no one. When 6 came around, William got off the bus, walked up the street and saw a large crowd gathered in front of his work. As he got closer he could hear his boss addressing the crowd "Ladies an gentlemen" his voice seemed to boom through the streets gathering the attention of everyone watching. "what you are about to witness is one of the largest and most expensive projects come to an end. Today I am announcing the opening of the first library ever to house every book, magazine, and any other text known to man" the crowd began to get riled up by the thought. "So, as you look around think of all the history and knowledge these books hold between their covers. So without further a due, welcome!" And with that, the library of history was opened.
