He lay there on his bed...covered in a big blue blanket. Suffocating in its warmth. The binder had hurt his chest from the hours he had worn it. The tv screen spread this thin light across his bedroom and made the darkness less consuming. He thought his usual self hating thoughts but didn't bother to stop himself. There was no point.
He sat up when his phone lit up. He checked the tiny screen. It's blue light hurting his eyes and jolting him awake. He had a text. Asking if he was still up. He didn't reply. Why should he have to handle a conversation when he can barely handle his own thoughts ? He got up and went to the mirror hanging on his closet door. It was a small, fragile old thing. An antique maybe. He hated it. Everyday looking into it and knowing that what he saw wasn't right. But it was gonna be okay....only a few more years he told himself...only a little bit longer.
But no matter how many times he said it it didn't save him. He still felt as though he was stuck. He knew who he was but he couldn't be who that is. He got ready for the day. It's five in the morning. Let's face it, there's no point in going to bed anymore. Besides... He couldn't if he tried. He was thinking to much to slip into the much needed rest. Rest he almost never got. Rest that he needed desperately. He looked in the mirror one more time...into his deep green eyes....he will always have these eyes...the one part of him he doesn't want to change is his eyes. He went through his closet. He found a pair of baggy, black cargo pants and a large T-shirt with a picture of a wolf on it. The wolf was howling at the moon...
"why do they do that ? " he thinks....it's not like the moon can hear them.
