This is the Rewritten version of Akatsuki's Little Girl, which was renamed to Akatsuki's Little Angel
For those you have already read the Original version, I kindly request you read this one as well. To edit the Original book was difficult for me a...
Funny how so many changes can occur in such a small time span, it quite literally flashes before your eyes.
Today was a day no one would ever forget. The new year has begun allowing everyone a new beginning. The Yamashita clan was celebrating together once again in the main dining hall while many spilled into the streets surrounding; wishing one another good fortunes. Not only that, two years ago the head family welcomed a new member. The first time in centuries a female was born into the Head Family of the Yamashita clan. The Elders believed that it was a blessing of gods that she was born on the same day and time of the New Year, the year of the Dragon. The other family members thought she would have the personality and fire that came with the Zodiac. I, however, thought differently.
She was an angel among mortals. Gentle as the summer breeze and as pure as the first snow. She would spread joy wherever she went or looked. She held everyone very dear to her. Only at two years, she learned to live her life to the fullest. All I could do was watch and claim the title of the luckiest brother alive
At ten years old, I would never have thought of the calamity that was brewing in the unknown that surrounded our happy lives as children.
Chasing one another through the large crowds that were made up of our family and close friendly clans, I took hold of one her porcelain hands as she hid behind a rather large man. She squealed with delight and squirmed in an attempt to escape. "NO FAIR! How do you always find me~? I thought that was a good hiding spot", she whined and latched her arms around my neck. I held one hand at her bottom and the other on her back to hold her to me. I embrace her tightly and whisper to her over her whining, "I will always find my imouto, that's what big brothers do! You're supposed to stay safe with me~". This is how it is supposed to be; me and her with our loving family around us, everyone loving her. "There is no way you can always find me! Nii-tan I'll become better and you will never be able to find me!". She poked her tongue out from between her petal like lips as she teased. "Aw so mean Mi-chan! Don't you want to stay with your Nii-tan?", I pout as I squeeze her tighter. "Hm~ I guess staying away from Nii-san for too long would be sad." She giggled, sounding like bells, in my ear as I walked the both of us back to the main hall. Both of us giggling at nothing like children do. So happy to notice any changes.
Before I reached the Main hall doors, a shrill of a scream broke out into the air. Bodies of those who tried to fight back fell, others ran away for the safety for themselves and their families, I stood as a statue. The Rogues, I assume, killed every adult that came in their path. Men, who were built like mountains, were taken down quickly; the women who retaliated thrown aside and killed with a flick of the wrist. The rogues pushed their way through the piling bodies to the main hall where I still stood. I clutched to her tightly, her head pressed against my shoulder in hopes she doesn't witness the gore I, myself, have seen.
That's when I lost everything. In such a small time span, my whole way of life was ripped from my grasp.
Behind me, I heard the thundering footsteps of my family, my Oto-san leading them. His battle axe swung high, he charged bellowing a roar as his first strike took down the first wave of attackers. The battle was raging when my view was obstructed as my Oka-san took hold of my sister and I to rush us home to the family bunker. My arm still tightly wound around her waist, I feel my imouto shaking in fear as Oka-san panted. Over her shoulder, I see something I would never imagine happening in a million years. My Oto-san struck to the ground by the butt of his attacker's katana. And as Oka-san slammed the door -- to our once warm home -- shut I see a lightning blade strike Oto-san's heart and silencing his breath for good. Oto-san...
We never made it to the bunker.
Moments after my Oto-san's death Rogues began setting fires and destroying homes, one being ours. A window shattered near the three of us as Oka-san ran. She was shoved to the ground, I fell from her grip and slide under a table. The forced when I hit the wall behind it knocked me unconscious. No matter what I did my eyes would not remain open just fluttered. Only long enough to see my Oka-san run away from her attackers with Mi-chan in her grasp. When I awoke, it took longer than I like to loosen myself from the grip of the haze. Our home, burnt and broken, was all that greeted me. I tried to stand, but pain erupted from my leg. Looking down I saw under the edge of my shorts was turning purple and the bone seemed to be protruding from the skin. I hissed as I forced myself up anyways. Gasping and stumbling through the remains of once a safe haven turned hell, the only thought that kept me going was to find my Oka-san and Imouto. Not long after, as I stepped into the space once known to me as the kitchen. I found Oka-san trapped beneath burning beams. I stumbled my way to her, just to stop halfway. Her head... there a kunai was bedded in her skull, seemingly killed her instantly. Oka-san...
Kneeling before her, I bit my lip to keep the screams and bile that clawed its way up my throat. They are taking everything. Looking through the ashes I do not see any other bodies. My Imouto? Where is my Imouto!?!
I crawled through one of the many holes in the walls. The grand scent of blood burned my nose, covering it did not help any so I continued. The gore, the piles of bodies, the destruction was too much. Seeing movement to my right had me gasping as I duck down in a hole. There twenty, from my view, rogues stood sifting through the bodies. Every once in a while, a few would hold up a child that is dead or is dying. The one in the center always shook his head. That man, that man was the one that had killed Oto-san. Who lead the attack. He stood, balancing on the pile of bodies, tossing my father's battle axe as if it was a plaything and not a weapon wielded by a fierce warrior who killed thousands with it. A heated glare was sent his way when a rogue walked up to him. In his arms was a child. That hair, that skin... Mi-chan!?! Suddenly filled with energy, I took a bow from a fallen warrior and the last of his arrows. I loaded the bow as he hands imouto to his leader. Without any second thoughts, I sent the arrow flying. It struck its target in the temple. He fell sideways as attention was now directed towards me. Panting, I stood ungracefully, I tried to look strong as I said, "Give her to me! You have no right to touch her!"
They all laughed at me as the leader observed my precious Mi-chan in his arms. "You know what boys? I think this one will do nicely~." He turned and began to walk away. Distraught, I try to run to him, "Wait, no sto-" I was cut short when I kneed in the stomach. In pain, I crumpled to the ground holding my waist. They continued to kick me when one stopped and pulled out a kunai. he positioned it over my head, ready to strike like a snake. Another stopped him saying, "Hey just let 'em suffer! We ended the others so quickly it be a shame to miss an oppertunity~" Laughing, he agreed and they continued to beat me. "Hey you idiots! Hurry up we don't have time for this!"
With one last kick, they left leaving me to suffer. Not able to move all I could do was stare at the spot I last saw my imouto. Tears fell without my consent but I didn't care. I just felt weak.
I will save you... Nii-san will always find his imouto... just wait, I, Takeshi Yamashita, will find you my Imouto, Michiko...

For those who have read the Original version, let me just say this, this will be completely different! ... Uh ish? Well it has the same plot, but instead of being rushed I'm going to be telling the story of how Maggie-chan's relationships with the Akatsuki's members formed! So yes different, very different! But the same.. I guess?
