Tuesday, 12:34. It was 4th period. A ginger, burnt victim, and skinny girl, Lily Smith Realin was looking at the dirty window, not paying attention to the lesson her science teacher, Mrs. Abbwel. It was cold. Her blue eyes with a bit of green and her ginger hair stood out. Most of the time she would get called out on. Ever since her family found out her mother had cancer, Lily was depressed. People asked how she got her burnt mark but she never said anything. She got it from an incident from when she was young. She was 10 when she got it. Lily was playing with her brother, Cameron, in the backyard when a fire near the big tree in it. A branch fell on her and she was rushed to the hospital. The doctors said she was fine but she had a burnt mark which won't be fully healed. The mark is located on her neck to the side of her chin.

"Lily, what's the answer?" said Mrs. Abbwel as Lily read the question multiple times.

"Well, the reason why the sky is blue is because solar radiation sunlight is scattered across the atmosphere by a process called diffused sky radiation. The sky is blue because much more short-wave radiation--blue light--is scattered across the sky than long-wave radiation--red light." Lily answered with a sigh at the end.

"Good. Now turn your books to page 394." Mrs. Abbwell told the whole class.

It was 24 minutes after they ready 4 long chapters about the sky and all that. The bell rang. Lily got out of class, bumping into a boy or girl, Lily didn't really know, dropping their books. Lily tried to help but they grabbed it quickly. Their name was Max Quinlet. Max was agender. They had short hair which was identical to Millie Bobby Brown but with a purple streak. Then Lily walked to lunch. Her boyfriend, Aaron Clyde, scared her and Lily jumped. She punched him and they both laughed. Lily's best friend, Eliza Gardner, was bright. Eliza walked to the table with them. Eliza's long blonde hair flowed down. Her brown eyes made her special. No one Lily knew that had blonde hair had brown eyes except Eliza. A popular but hated jock, Logan Wilson, pushed Max to the ground because they refused to move their seat. Logan's group started to beat him up in front of the people in the cafeteria. The vice principal tried to break it down but was shoved back into the crowd yelling, "FIGHT! FIGHT!". Max tried to get up but was unconscious. They were bleeding, blood on the ground. Max got up and ran to the bathroom. Lily ran after them but when she caught up, Max disappeared.

School was over. She went home with her siblings and went to eat dinner. It was a break the next day because of a holiday, so they were going to meet their mother at the hospital. Lily got undressed and went in the shower. She grabbed her shampoo and covered her hair with it. Her hair was down. She got out and put a towel on. Lily grabbed some new clothes and put them on for the night. As she was going to scroll through Tumblr, she felt a strong gust of wind. The door was shut and locked. The windows were too.

"Lily. I'm sorry this is an awkward place and time to meet, but I need to tell you something." said a person with a deep voice.

"What?! Who are you and want do you want?" Lily said worried as she got her phone.

"I'm... Max. And you have to listen to me Lily." Max told her as he walked closer.

Lily was ready to fight him but she didn't want to. She then said, "MAX?! WHAT THE F-".

"There's no time, there here." Max disappeared.

Lily was frightened. She went back on Tumblr and was in fright. She went to bed. Lily was scared. She didn't know why Max was there, what he wanted, or anything for that matter.

Lily woke up. She pretended nothing happened last night but was still scared. Her dad told her and her siblings to get dressed after breakfast. Since they were going to meet their mother, they were very excited. Lily wasn't that excited but she was. The whole family got dressed and was ready to go to the hospital. They went to the car and their dad started to drive. Since it's about 1 hour to get there, Lily's older brother, Calvin Maro Realin, played some 'Hamilton' while they made their first stop. They were jamming out.

Once they reached the hospital, they ran out of their car to check on their mother. They walked into the waiting room. All of them were out of breath. The youngest, Candace Realin, was singing and skipping all around. Their dad signed in and waited. A little group of people that consisted of 2 boys and 1 girl came out, crying. They were sobbing. Lily tried not to look but she felt the need to. Then she look at the window. It was clean compared to her the ones in class. She noticed a peculiar thing walking. It looked like a person. When they walked closer, the figure's appearance look like Max. Lily had the same feeling as last night but a bit less scared since she was with her family or most of them. The lady at the front desk called on them, so they walked to their mother's room, 'Room 213'. The nurse opened the door. They came in, all happy. Each of them hugged their mother.

"Mom, we missed you. We really love you." said Candace.

"What Candace said. But it's tr-true." added Calvin breaking down in tears.

"I love you guys so much. I miss you guys a l-lot." their mother, Olivia, told them, also breaking into tears but with a big large smile.

Little did they know all of that happiness was going to be taken away soon. While they were laughing and having fun, the ECG made flat line. It did so for a long time. Olivia was crying. Not joy, but sadness. She was going to die. The doctors and nurses came in, telling them to leave. They did but Lily refused. She kept on yelling, "MOM! PLEASE!". Their joy quickly turned into sadness. Lily finally gave in, leaving. They were crying. Every single Realin was. Before this moment, she thought everything was unsinkable, but now everything is sinkable.
