" A long time ago, when Pokéballs were just invented and people started to catch Pokémons there was a rumor of the existence of three legendary bird Pokémons.. Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres! Some people were interested in Moltres, while others in Zapdos or Articuno.. This resulted in the formation of 3 groups... Team Valor , Team Mystic and Team Instinct. But there was one and his student who hated these groups and believed that the legendary Pokémons should stay free forever.. they were Pokémon researcher Willow and his 12 year old student Surge. One day the three leaders of Team Valor, Mystic and Instinct started arguing about which legendary bird is the strongest! This led to a war of Pokémons between the three teams! The members of these three teams started to fight each other and the Pokémons were so furious that cities and towns were getting destroyed by the power of their attacks!
Professor Willow and Surge tried their best to stop those three teams but were unable to stop their powerful Pokémons! Surge was even going to die but his Pokémon risked its life to save him! after numerous failed attempts they gave up! When the teams became unstoppable a mysterious young man and his wife came and stopped the war in a blink of an eye with the power of their strong Pokémons! Unfortunately the man died due to a Blastoise falling into him his wife and 2 year old son "Red" were saved! Team Valor, Mystic and Instinct were finished and professor willow decided to move to the Johto region.. his student Surge later became a gym leader... and Willow himself became a gym leader of Mahogany town at Johto with a new name "Pryce" and the mother and child went to stay at pallet town...
