Victoria's POV:

"This is such crap." Adam, my best friend, said.

"Shut up. If I get shouted at, because of you, I'm gonna kill you, I swear to god." Lily, his girlfriend and my best friend, said.

I chuckled at their banter. It was always like this. Adam hated Calculus and he never even passed. Lily didn't like it much either, but she at least didn't fail.

As for me, I hate everything except English and Biology.

"Ria, join me in my misery, will you?" Adam asked me.

Ria was one of the many nicknames, he had for me.

I snorted. "I would rather not say anything. I don't want to see Lily's dark side. I wanna live, you see." I said.

Lily turned around and glared at me. I just gave her a goofy smile and a flying kiss.

She just rolled her eyes and looked back at the front again.

I was reading a book on my phone, on this app called Wattpad. Man did I love this app. I was absolutely addicted to it.

At the moment, I was reading a book called Let Me Love You, and I was absolutely head over heels in love with the main character, Dean.

I wasn't even listening to what Mrs. Reed, our teacher, was saying. She was one of those teachers, who knew that most students hated the subject and her. So she never tried to make someone understand that they have to pay attention.

Besides, this was college. And most of us were gonna go on different internships, once this semester got over.

I was a med student. And they had forced us to take two other subjects too. One would be chosen by us and the other, by them. So I chose English and was stuck with stupid Calculus.

Just then, to everyone's relief, the bell rang, indicating that the lecture was over and now it was time for lunch.

I just had an English lecture, today later on at 4:30. So I decided to go back to my dorm, get some sleep and then go out for lunch at around 3.

Lily was a med student, like me, and Adam was a Photography student.

Adam had a lecture right after lunch, so he stayed back, as me and Lily made our way back to our dorms.

Unfortunately, she wasn't my roommate. But me and her shared the same subjects. Which is exactly how we became best friends.

I was in contact with my school friends, but not much. All of us had dispersed after school. We used to meet and go on camping trips very often, in the first two years of college. Which was two years ago. Now we just had phone calls, once in three months or we would meet once in six months or something.

"What's your plan tonight?" Lily asked.

"I don't know. After English, I would probably just sit around and read, or watch House of Cards." I said.

"Don't you have a date with Ian, tonight?" She asked.

"I did, but he isn't gonna be able to make it, tonight. I got a text from him while we were in Calculus." I said sadly and sighed.

"Oh, okay. His loss is our gain." She said and turned to me with an excited face.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her. This always led to something I didn't want to do.

"There's a party tonight. Adam got invited to it. And well, he asked me to go with him. And now I'm asking you to go with us." She said.

"No. Lily, you know that parties are not my thing. I've never been to a party in the past two years, and I'm not going to one now, either." I said.
