When bad thing happen a weight is added to the mass on your shoulders. See, the way that I see it is that everyone is born with a barbell on their back, metaphorically of course, and whenever responsibility or pain or stress is added to a person's life, a weight is added to the end. So you walk around your entire life, walking your path with this build up of weights and when one of the weights is finished with, you leave it on the path and you carry on walking. The only problem is the loop holes that some people find to get rid of these weights. When time is not enough people start to look for a fix and physically removing the weight from this mental story seems to work well for some people. For example, spending time with loved ones - they bear some of the weight too for a time and they help for a while. However sometimes, when the weights get really heavy, guilt takes over and it no longer feels right for people you care about to hold such a load so you hold off and carry them yourself and more is added because of the guilt and a good option for you to escape these weights is to cry and bleed them out. As each crimson drip releases what you've been holding up for so long you do it more and more. Another option would be to let the bitter smoke of a burning cigarette replace the dirt of the weights with a different more physical weight. As the end lights up with every inhale, so does any glimmer of hope you might still have. Unless your past that point where only the sweet thought of release fuels your fire. So you continue to expell the weights through blood. With each cut, each burn, each bruise, each pang of a rubber band on your fragile wrist, a small amount of the weight is lifted and eventually it will get to the point where you can accept the weight as a part of you, take it all back in and feel it for the last time before leaving it on the path, or, you can take the easy road after trying too hard for too long. When it gets to the point where the last weight can finally be drawn from your sinewy, scarred skin, you know all you need to do is just keep bleeding out the bad...
