cleo: happy birthday prattprattpratt! i look forward to our joint party tonight 😈

"so why the joint party?" anna, chris' wife, asked cleo as they watched pratt dance ridiculously.
"we're only allowed one day off," cleo started. "so we're having this tonight, and the day off tomorrow! plus my birthday is only 5 days away!" she explained.
"i see," anna responded as they drank.
as they stood chatting, cleo could see sebastian staring at her from across the room.
every few minutes they'd lock eyes, but quickly turn away.
she wanted to go talk to him, and tell him the fall wasn't his fault. she could tell by the constant look on his face that he was guilty, she knew him well enough to know that.

a few drinks later, and cleo finally found the courage to confront sebastian.
"i'll be back in a bit," she mumbled to elizabeth, before locking eyes with sebastian, and gesturing to the door.
"before you say anything," sebastian started. "just know that i'm sorry, i know its my fault that you-"
"stop," she laughed. "it's not your fault, it's nobody's fault but my own! i'm so fucking clumsy you should know that, stan,"
he laughed.
"but you're finally ready to talk?" he asked, and she sighed. "or is this just to make me stop staring?"
she shrugged.
"i'm not sure," she sighed again. "i got some advice, and as much as i hate to admit it, i was wrong,"
he smirked slightly, and she huffed, taking his drink from his hand, and chugging it.
"don't give me that look," she groaned as he looked at her dumbfounded.
"it's not everyday the great cleo carville admits she's wrong!" he mocked, making her groan again.
"you know what forget it!" she exclaimed, turning on her heel, but sebastian pulled her back, and kissed her.
she kissed back, until it hit her, she couldn't do this again.
she pulled away, and without a second thought, she turned on her heel and disappeared into the club.
