My Ghost

Chapter 2

A few minutes later, I finally got to school. Standing in front of the main entrance were my  friends, Leroy, Blayde, Harley, and Roxy.

"Hey guys." I said over the loud screamo music they were blasting on the speaker. "Hey Karen." Said Roxy with a smile while adjusting her beanie. "Where's Angie?" I asked curiously. "We don't know. She should've been here by now." Said Leroy with a confused look on his face.

We stood there for what felt like forever until we finally saw Angie. She was wearing her Blink-182 shirt with black skinny jeans and a black and blue flannel tied around her waist. Her long brown hair was tied in a ponytail. Her beautiful brown eyes shinning perfectly in the sunlight. God, she is so beautiful.

"Sup guys." Angie said while giving us all a quick hug. "Hey Angie, you're only like, what? 7 minutes late." Blayde said with a small chuckle. "Seriously dude, that's not like you." Leroy said. "Calm down guys, I'm here already. Plus, school starts in like 18 minutes." Angie said with a small smile.

"Hey guys, I have an idea. What do you say we ditch this motherfucker and go  somewhere? I brought my dad's minivan." Leroy said, pointing at the school. We all agreed. Instantly.

"Where are we gonna go?" Roxy asked. "I was thinking maybe go to Denver or maybe Boulder or Grand Junction. You know kinda like a road trip. It will only take like 22 minutes to get to Denver and like 32 minutes to get to Boulder." Leroy explained.

"How long will it take to get to Grand Junction?" I asked. "About 3 hours." Leroy said. I was already regretting this decision. "If we're talking road trip, then I know exactly where to go." Blayde said. "Where?" Harley asked. "We can go to Cheyenne, Wyoming." Blayde said.

"WHAT?" I exclaimed. "We can't go to Wyoming! That's a whole different state!" "Relax Karen.It is literally a one hour drive. I've been there so many times." Blayed explained.

"Alright, then let's go." Harley said already walking away and Roxy following. "I'll drive since I've been there." Blayed called. "Alright then I call shotgun." Leroy said. "I call dibs on music." Harley said.

Angie started walking off with the rest of the group. "So, you comin' or are you gonna stay in this hell hole?" Angie asked with a small smirk on the edge of her lips.

I slowly started walking towards her. "I thought so." She said with a small chuckle. "Come on, let's go. You can sit by me." Angie said as she grabbed my hand. I instantly felt my cheeks turn red and my heart beating faster.

I quickly tried hiding my face but I'm pretty sure she already saw. She suddenly stopped making me stop. "Is everything alright, Karen?" She asked with a slight tone of worry in her voice. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said with a smile. She smiled back we soon continued walking.

I started thinking about how I might actually have a chance with Angie. All I need to do is just tell her how I feel and see if she feels the same. I can do this. No problem. No problem at all.
