Chpt 1 - Job

"When are you gonna find a job? It has been weeks since you graduated from university!" my dad screamed when he saw me still in bed when it was already in the afternoon.
My name is Nayoung and I am 20 this year. My dream is to go around the world to explore and also I have a thing for cosmetics.
These few weeks after my graduation I had been going around to different cosmetics companys to see if they were hiring but unfortunately,at this timing they weren't.
"I'm trying hard to find the perfect job for myself! It's either they were not hiring or their company isn't up to my expectation." I muttered under my pillow,replying my dad,eyes still closed.
"Why don't you try working as a makeup artist in my company?But please do not tell anyone anything related to our family!I do not want anyone to be crowding over you,trying to bootlick you and also not giving you any work to do.Keep this a secret!And of course,you will get your pay."
After listening to my dad,I am now fully awake , mouth wide open staring back at my dad.
"I didn't even say I am gonna work in your company , why are you rushing me."
"I will let you think about this. Give me an answer tonight." He winked before he left my room,going for work.
Oh god,do I really have no other choices???..
After thinking about what my dad said a few minutes ago,I still don't know if I should accept his idea or not since I don't feel comfortable working there and everyone who know me knows I can't keep any secrets for a long period of time but,it is a great job for me since I would only need to focus on getting the person's make up done and nothing else.
Finally,I decided to just call my best friend for her opinion about this.Her name is Haru and we have been best friends since young as both our parents are best friends too!She is older than me by a few years and she is currently working in a coffee shop as a barista.
"Hello Haru? I have something important to ask you , and will also need your opinion about it.."
After telling Haru everything , Haru started screaming into the phone which almost made me fall out of my bed.
"OMG ARE YOU GONNA BE THE MAKEUP ARTIST FOR BANGTAN BOYS?! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GET THIS JOB!"
Ever since high school,I had stopped fan-girling about kpop stuffs because I do not have the time for it,so now I don't really have a interest for boy groups and things like that.
"Okay I should be serious since it is gonna be your first time working...in my opinion , I think you should take up this job as you can have more experience about working as a makeup artist and also have your parents there to lowkey take care of you so you won't get into troubles."
"Thanks for your opinion , I will think about it. Sorry for my sudden call..love you and bye!" I said. "Goodbye! Do update me tonight about your choice!"

Time past so quickly , it was already dinner time which also mean it was time to give my Dad an answer.On the dining table,my Dad turn to me giving me a small smile,wanting an answer from me right now.About to tell him my decision i made,my Mom came along with the last dish in the kitchen.
"Ok so after a lot of thinking....I have decided to work in your company..."
My Mom and Dad was so contented with my answer they went a little crazy,blabbering nonsense but soon regain their composure and said "You will start working tomorrow. Hope you will do a good job!"
And that night,I called back Haru to tell her about my choice and in our whole conversation she kept talking about the bangtan boys who I have no idea who were they.

The next day,I woke up early to doll myself up so I can have a good impression to everyone in the company.I took a cab to the company as I am not going together with my parents since they want to keep this relationship a secret from others. After signing and filling up the application forms,and also taking my schedule list,it was time to meet the group I will be in charge of.I was quite shocked when I saw their names on my schedule list.They were the people Haru was going crazy over...they were bangtan boys.
"Hello , my name is Nayoung. I will be your make up artist from today onwards." I bowed and they bowed back at me. Each of them then introduced themselves and they were friendlier than what I thought they would be,so I was slowly getting comfortable with all of them.
They were having a photoshoot today so I was given the task with the theme of high fashion. The first member I helped to put on make-up was J-Hope,he is always with a bright smile on his face which make him look so cute and is always telling me lame jokes. The next member was rap monster,being a curious little girl,I asked him how he get this weird name of his and then the conversation continues from there. Next was JungKook,the maknae of this group. We didn't talk since he just slept throughout and was woken up by me since I was finished. Jimin and V was the talkative ones which was always asking me weird questions like "Where do you live?" "What kinds of food do you like?" And there were also Jin and Suga who have a cool aura around them so I was too awkward to start a conversation with them. After finishing with all their makeups,I was ordered to go to the photoshoot place with them so I can touch up whenever they need to. I was then dragged by V into the van together with all of them.

I was so awkward in the whole entire ride as I was forced to sit beside Suga and Rap Monster. Rap monster tried talking to me a few times but stopped after awhile because he fall asleep. Suga was looking out of the window with his earpiece put on for the whole ride. When we reached our destination,they were immediately send to take their pictures. Monitoring how they will take their pictures,I realised one will have his picture taken while the others will play around in the guest room until someone calls another one out.
Since I have nothing to do,I sat down and whipped out my handphone to text my bestfriend telling her how was my first day of work going before someone suddenly stood infront of me. I looked up and saw Jimin smilling at me , he sat beside me and told me to be myself and relax because I looked so tensed up. I take in a few deep breaths to calm myself then I asked him "I haven't talk to Jin, Suga and JungKook yet. Are they always so quiet or is it just around me." Jimin chuckled a little and said "They need more time to get comfortable around you. No worries, u are definitely doing nothing wrong!"
It was already evening and the photoshoot just ended so everyone started packing up to leave the place while the boys were still inside the guest room eating and playing. Not knowing what to do I went to look for my schedule paper but I didn't know where it went. After thinking where I last seen it,I realised it was inside the guest room - where all of them is in right now.

I knocked polietly and unlocked the door with all of them staring at me. I stared back at them with an awkward smile. "Sorry to disturb but I left my schedule paper in here, can I go get it?"
I walked toward the couch at the corner of the room and found my schedule paper,and was about to leave the room when suddenly someone grabbed on to my wrist. I was shocked and was wondering what was that for when I turned to see V with his small little smile. He dragged me to the boys and forced me to sit on a chair infront of them,they then start asking a lot of questions. How many more questions....I sighed. I was so tired following them everywhere today I just wanted to go back home. I looked at them,and they suddenly just stopped asking me anymore,it's like they just read my mind.
Rap Monster,as the leader of the group,then said "We just wanted to know more about you because from now onwards,you will be our personal make-up artist. Our ex make-up artist was so close and friendly to us,we became close friends but because of some misunderstanding between all of us she needs to go." he said while looking at Suga.
At that moment in my mind,I was wondering what exactly happened to them. I don't want to make the same mistake as her! After Rap Monster's explanation,I tried to answer everything they asked me about.
My mind went blank when Jin suddenly asked me about my parents,I tried my best to dodge the question or just change the subject. They definitely will think that I'm hiding something from them.
"It should be dinner time now,want to have dinner together?" Suga asked me. I then replied while smiling at him "Sure!" Not knowing why,his face was red after I replied him. Too tired to say anything else,I went to pack up my stuffs to leave together with them.
I was really thankful for the dinner as I get to know all of them even more. V and Rap Monster eat a lot. Suga doesn't like people to make noises when eating and Jin was the nosiest when eating. JungKook and Jimin was just playing around with each other together with J-Hope. Rap Monster then said "Just call us using our real names from now onwards Nayoung." That's when I felt that this friendship is going to mean a lot to me.
