I watched him out of the corner of my eye most of the time. No work had gotten done since the time he had sat down next to me. It wasn't that big of a deal, I was ahead of schedule any way.

He was smirking as I kept hitting the delete key.

It seemed as though I was distracting him, also.

"I uh, I went to Fairbanks for a few semesters." I nervously told him when he looked at me. I probably should have brought it up earlier, but I couldn't seem to get it out.

For an English major, I was horrible with words.

"I- I'm sorry but I've got to be somewhere." I shoved everything into my backpack and hurried out of the coffee shop.

I felt bad not getting his number, but I'm sure we'd both be back.
