"I was telling Myra to help me rehearse a play about virgin's and all that nonsense." Chuckled Sally uneasily.
I wanted the floor to open up and suck me in at that moment but no matter how much I wished for that I knew it wouldn't happen. However I could always wring Sally's throat because honestly all this was her fault. Yep it was! She was the one who accused me of being a virgin of everything and she makes the situation worse by saying we were rehearsing a stupid play. Argh! It's obvious to a bloody monkey that what she said was a big FAT lie. I knew I couldn't escape so I did was I was good at, make a damn coffee for Ethan. I know you're thinking how this would help me with this situation but this way at least I can make an excuse I went to make him a coffee. I know a lame excuse, but what am I supposed to do?
As soon as I made the coffee I took it to the living room where they were seated. "Hi." I murmured as I gave him the mug of coffee.
Ethan cleared his throat as his eye lingered towards my body for few seconds. At that moment I realised I was just in my long t-shirt that just stopped mid-thigh. "Hi, I'm sorry for disturbing you at this time but I came to give you this file" He handed the file over to me. "I need you to go over this by tomorrow morning it's urgent."
"Okay." I replied.
Ethan took his mug of hot coffee and gulped the whole content within seconds. "I better go." He got up from his seat to leave.
"Mr Cole why are you in such a hurry? It seems like your itching to get away from here?" Asked Sally as she raised her eyebrow at him curiously.
Ethan cleared his throat as he quickly glanced at me before looking at Sally, "I just have some matters to attend to."
"Is it really important?" Asked Sally innocently. "Cause I was about to start on dinner so it would be great if you stayed."
I'm sure any second Sally would feel a burning sensation at the side of her head with the death glares I was shooting at her.
"They are, I will surely stay next time." He answered politely.
I wanted to sigh out of relief that he was leaving. "How about Saturday?" She insisted.
"Erm, yeah sure." He answered hesitantly.
"Great." Exclaimed Sally.
"I better go." He muttered and turned round to leave as Sally followed him to the door. As soon as I heard the door shut I sighed in relief and sat down on the sofa.
"There was something wrong with Ethan Cole, he wasn't himself."
"You met him once before so how do you know if he wasn't himself." I retorted back.
"Woah! What's up with you?"
"What's up with me? You honestly asking me that stupid question? I'll tell you what's up with me, first of all why leave the damn door open? I mean come on someone isn't that daft to forget to close the door, we should be glad we didn't get robbed! What was worse was Ethan Cole heard our conversation! Just thinking about it, I rather have been robbed than have Ethan Cole hear that damn conversation." I started to yell at her out of frustration.
"Yeah but I tried to cover up...." Sally interrupted.
"Yeah by saying we rehearsing for some virgin play? Do you think he's stupid? I'm sure his IQ is higher than ours put together. He knew what you made up was all a lie. To make matters worse you wanted him to stay for dinner when I was dying for him to leave after all the awkward embarrassed moment I went through? Argh! I don't know how I'm going to face him tomorrow I feel so embarrassed." I closed my eyes as I messaged my temples to relax my mind.
